My wife, Selen, and I had marvelous time at Havaiki. There are not enough great things to say about the Fakarava experience meddled with Havaiki. Property is clean, pristine and well kept. Owner has an eye for quality and taste. Villas are lovely and steps away from the beach. Rooms are perfectly adequate. Food was better than some hotels that... More

We booked a beach bungalow (B8+B9 are older beach bungalows, built not on stilts) unfortunately not the premium beach bungalow. We also booked the pick up service from the airport in advance. Owner: French business man who lives in Polynesia/Fakarava for nearly 25 years. The older bungalows are at the end of the guest house area (very calm). The white... More

If you want to go to Fakarava, French Polynesia and have a nice place to stay, this is it. The rooms are basic but most include a/c. Ours had a nice bathroom, reasonable sized refrigerator and a safe for valuables. The highlight of staying here for us was the dinners. The dinners (I believe all guests stay with half board... More

Beautiful grounds, idyllic waterfront and great hospitality! The lagoon just off shore has lots to see when snorkelling or even just sitting on the end of the pier. Joachim was incredibly helpful in organising activities and trips and ensuring everything was perfect with our room. We stayed in a garden bungalow which was very spacious and clean. The only downside... More

Full disclosure, we did not spend the night here so can't comment on the rooms, however the other reviewers seem very happy with them. We only came over for the day. It's an easy walk from the downtown area (or bike ride) and we were welcomed and invited in just as if we were staying there. That actually says something... More

Two years ago, my fiancé and I visited Fakarava and stay at the now closed White Sands Beach Resort. It should have closed as it was a terrible place. Our return trip brought us to the Havaiki Pearl Guest House and what a difference. The owner Joachim, from the time we arrived to the moment we stepped off his van... More

Last summer, during our honeymoon, we spent 5 days in this family pension and we're absolutelly satisfied: Joachim and his family are so good people and they always find some time to take care of you, proposing everyday somethink new for your stay. The place, as all Fakarawa, is special and perfect for all the peolple that aren't looking for... More

We had a great time there! Joachim and Havaiki are wondeful hosts, the service is really good and food is delicious! The sea in front of the bungalows is crystal clear, you just want to dive in there!

I have been home now for 2 weeks from an AMAZING dive trip vacation to Tahiti, Rangiroa, and Fakarava. Simple words cannot express my stay on Fakarava. My stay at Maitai Rangiroa was good and the diving was great, BUT my stay at Havaiki Pearl and the incredible diving at Fakarava simply blew all the other competition completely out of... More

Nice pension huts along the beach. You can find sandwiches at SGD 7 in the guesthouse. It's a family run low-cost guesthouse and their hospitality was incredibly warm & graceful. The decoration was full of charm. At the pearl farm in Favaraka, they showed us how they string the live shells into a sock-look net beneath the clear seabed. Then... More
