We went as part of a group on a photo workshop that turned out to be more of a photo tour. This family pension or bed and breakfast is not really suitable for a workshop as there is no classroom or av set up for formal instruction. We also happened to be there during the grouper spawning, which mean't this... More

If you want a vacation to forget there is a whole world outside the tiny island you are staying on then this is the place for you. We booked this hotel to experience the wonderful diving we had read about on the Fakarava Southern Pass. It did not disappoint. Arrival by boat, we were greeted by lots of small sharks... More

Tetamanu Village is the best place to stay not only because its location - right on the Fakarava Southern Pass **best diving spot but the owner Annebella-personal touch. She made me a coconut plate after I dove that I just mentioned to one of the people work there saying that I like Coconut a lot. After I finished diving, she... More

Half the fun of Tetamanu Village is getting there. To reach at Tetamanu you have to travel some 30 miles from North Fakarava to South Fakarava. This is done by boat. On a good day this is a 45 minute ride across a flat sunny lagoon. We hit it on a bad day. The boat is around 25' long and... More

Tetamanu means quite, silence and wonderful dives, of course. One hour flight from Papeete and another 2 hours by car/boat bring you in one of the most remote place in the world. Everything is "natural", rooms are basic, mosquito net on the bed, simple bathroom and few lights to read a book at night because power comes from solar panels.... More

The Tetamanu Village has a hidden gem : KuoKuo. It is a tiny private island (a few hundred square meters when the tide is high) for a couple of travellers to live in, below trees where hundreds of birds are nesting, at 500 meters from the attol's limit. The beach around the house is crowded with many hilarious hermit crabs.... More

If you want to escape the confines of wifi and pare down living to the basics, then this is for you. The huts are basic, clean & comfortable, the setting unlike anywhere else I have ever stayed and the welcome from the host second to none. Nothing is too much trouble, they really make every possible effort to please. It's... More

We just spent 4 nights at Tetamanu Village and after visits to Tikehau, Rangiroa, Manihi this spot was our favorite by far. All but one cottage are literally right on the south pass and you can watch the reef fish including black tip sharks right from your deck. Watching the current sweep through the pass like a river twice a... More

During our stay in may 2012 we had a great time! The south pass is a beautiful spot for diving! Tetamanu Village is a beautiful and private place to stay. It's very clean, comfortable beds and the views from the bungalows are amazing! The food is very good and varies every day. Annabel (the owner) is the best host you... More

The South pass of Fakarava is one our favorite place dive anywhere, and we dive all over the planet. There is only one place to stay on Fakarava that is right on the pass and it is tetamanu Village. It has become one of our favorite places to stay. Sane` and Annabelle go out of their way to make our... More
