Not being able to afford the more expensive resorts at Bora Bora I stayed at the Novetel and was delighted with my accomodation. The main room was quite large with a balcony overlooking lovely palm trees and garden and the bathroom is quite large as well. The room was clean. The hotel staff were very nice and the staff at... more

The place is definitively not playing in the same league as the major 5-star 1000 USD a night resorts scattered around Bora Bora, but its location is absolutely gorgeous, right on one of the best beaches of the island, and its rooms are fully functionnal and clean. If you are in Bora Bora "just to visit", without the need to... more

Bora Bora airport is a joy to arrive at. As you enter the terminal building you realise that literally on the other side is a tuquoise lagoon with the boats waiting to transport you to your hotel. I booked the Novitel/ Sofitel transfer directly with the Novotel, it cost 6,600 xpf and took me from airport jetty to hotel jetty.... more

We had no problem reaching the hotel.we used the free boat shuttle from the airport then a driver was waiting for us. If you make your own reservation, make sure you also plan your transfer to the hotel. The one problem we had (and only reason why I rated 2) was that the hotel had overbooked family rooms, on top... more

This seemed like a good deal for Bora Bora. Unfortunately it turned out to be horrible. The room had hair balls and dead spiders over the floor and was generally filthy. Also, and of no fault of the hotel, it is on mainland Bora Bora, and when we visitied it was wet and windy and cold. However, the weather was... more

Most importantly, this is truly the best "budget" luxury resort on Bora Bora. I doubt you'd find another place at this level that's as affordable as Novotel Bora Bora. That said, the accomodations are average, and the staff isn't the most helpful. New guests clearly take precedence, and front desk clerks often make you wait so they can check in... more

For years we wanted to visit Bora Bora but were always put off by the £300+ per night hotels. The we found the Novotel and read the favourable reviews on this site. Having read some of the other reviews we were worried about the pick up at the boat quay. No worries a woman was waiting with the Novotel board... more

Prepare for humidity, pack lightly. The hotel was very nice. We loved the shaded balcony for watching the rain (a downpour or two -- don't last long). No ice machines; however, take a plastic bag and ask at the kitchen. They will fill the bag! It kept our refrigerator colder and was great to put in an insulated bag for... more

We stayed 3 nights here and 3 nights at the Sofitel Motu. Rooms at the Novotel were in two storey buildings on the other side of the road which was no inconvenience at all. We heard no road noise. The room was quiet. Very nice garden and pond outside the room. I would describe the Novotel rooms as nice and... more

Having read the latest reviews, I must conclude your experience at this property will depend on how lucky you are. First of all, the BB Novotel has no representative at the airport to tell us how to reach the property. That's important, because either you have reservations at the major resorts, and get a private boat transfer, or you will... more
