The Mai Tai had beautiful grounds and I loved how everything from the restaurants to reception were open air. The staff was very friendly and I was amazed that most of the staff were multilingual in that they new at least Polynesian, French, and English. Our first room had a dripping air conditioner which we weren't too happy with and... More

Our buré was out over coral with crystal clear waterand a glass topped coffee table for viewing the fish below.. The sound of the lapping water with the distant roar of the waves breaking on the reef. This idyllic setting further enhanced in that there is no need for air con or the artificial things of life. Doors of the... More

Could not have asked for a better view. Our bungalow was spacious, clean, and surrounded by beautiful views. We snorkled off our deck as did our neighbors. Staff was very nice and very helpful. We stayed in bungalow 107. Breakfast was just okay. If you get tired of scrambled eggs they will prepare fried for you.

My wife and I stayed from 28 March through 5 April 2015. The staff were accommodating, though there were some language problems. The mini-reef under our overwater bungalow was the best on the property. Everything was about as good as expected, considering the astonishingly high prices of everything on the island. A beer at the 2 good local markets was... More

Our stay at Maitai was great. I have to say, the receptionists were exceptional. They were always very friendly, welcoming, and patient. They greeted us with a flower lei and a fancy mango juice concoction. Pros: Very diverse hotel guests (families, gay couples, honeymooners, different races, old and young, we seen them all!). Compared to other hotels we visited, Maitai... More

We visited the maitai on april 2015. This is a 3 star hotel so BEWARE, do not expect first class treatment, food, entertainment, or installations. We stayed at an overwater bungalow and for us what made this vacation grate was the privacy and intimacy that this small hotel offers, thats the only reason why i would come back. You get... More

The Maitai Hotel over water beach bungalow should be considered an aquatic adventure and not a beach experience. First of all, if you are looking for nice long walks on a beach as so many people think of a beach vacation, then save your time and go to the Caribbean. The beaches here are small only when they can be... More

We stayed 4 nights in an over-water bungalow which was on our bucket list. The hotel staff were great getting us checked-in plus a free late check out on the last day. The desk also lined up a couple of trips including a free ride to and from BLOODY MARY'S RESTAURANT (a must do for seafood). The snorkeling was excellent... More

I was here on business so my expectations were not high We stayed in the rooms at the back of the resort and they were what you would find in any 3 star hotel in the world. The bed was soft, the air-con worked and the shower was large For the price it was fine and if you are looking... More

We stayed in a beautiful overwater bungalow, very nicely decorated with a glass bottom under the coffee table to watch the fish. Large bathroom with a walk in shower but no tub, for those who care. We didn't. Toilet in seperate, enclosed space. The only drawback was that the deck was not large enough for reclining lawnchairs, but the 2... More
