My boyfriend and I planned an incredible 9-day trip to Alaska for end of August/early September on a SUPER budget. Flights from NYC were incredibly cheap ($<400 roundtrip) and we figured camping wouldn't be too much money. So, we did just that. Spent the first night at a B&B and the rest of the trip camping. He is much more... More

I've stayed in Talkeetna on three different occasions and after considering many factors found this hotel was by far the most comfortable and best managed hotel. Sitting on a bluff with beautiful views of Mt McKinley the log cabin design just impresses upon you that you are on the edge of the the Alaska wilds. You are actually just outside... More

We stayed at the lodge in Aug 2013 and it was wonderful. We didn't get to see Denali from the deck, but the view was magnificent. The walking was nice, although it was a lot more hilly than what I thought. The restaurants food was very good, although a little pricey, but that's Alaska. Service was great too! The town... More

We stayed here for 1 night because we were planning a flight with a glacier landing. It is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities with one exception - No AC. Unfortunately, the weather was bad while we were here. We couldn't see Denali. We canceled our flight because the weather would not allow a glacier landing. The only negative... More

From the back of the hotel and our hotel room, we were able to see Denali in all it's glory! They have a nice walking trail out back of the hotel if you have time, we just went a little ways down but it was just very peaceful. The lodge fireplace is unique and all done with local stones from... More

The lodge is a great looking hotel with a million dollar unobstructed views of Denali and its sister peaks. Even if you are not staying there you should stop and enjoy the restaurant / Coffee shop for the view alone sit outside or inside close tot he huge log fireplace. On a clear day you can see forever

We stayed at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge during our Alaskan cruise/land excursion. It is a beautiful lodge and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view of Mt. McKinley is breath taking. We also appreciated the opportunity to do our personal laundry while at the lodge. It is a very short trip into the quaint village of Talkeetna, which we also enjoyed very... When we arrived, we had the most wonderful surprise waiting for us, we had been picked as guests of the day! We had been upgraded to a room that included a large sitting area with a big picture window with a panoramic view of the Alaska Range. Unfortunately, it was rainy and cloudy, and we couldn't see Denali, but it... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. The rooms are very nice, and there are many great sitting areas in which one can patiently wait for the appearance (or not) of the magical Mt. Denali. There is a nice trail that runs behind the buildings. The staff at the lodge were super. They were great at recommendations... More

Great location, great service, great rooms, great staff! During our trip to Denali this fall we really enjoyed our stay in Talkeenta. Unlike the staff at Denali, the Talkeetna peope are really friendly and care about making your stay more enjoyable. Because of this we'll be back!
