The lodge is situated in a perfect location with views of Denali! The staff is friendly and energetic! We were here at the very end of August and they offered a call service for the Northern Lights. Much to our delight...the lights came out to ply and we got a 2:45 AM call to watch the show! We had a... More

This is a great place to stay in Talkeetna. The lodge is very clean and the grounds our spectacular. The rooms are oversized and are equipped with everything you need. Even the restaurants are good and not too overpriced for Alaska. Unfortunately, it rained while we were there and were not able to see Mount McKinley. I highly recommend this... More

We stayed here on our way to Denali National Park. It is pricey but beautiful. The room was very nice, great views, and good food. For a once in a lifetime trip I highly recommend it. Don't forget to walk downtown and check out the shops and restaurants.

We recently stayed while vacationing in Alaska. We loved the hotel and the grand vistas that we enjoyed of the distant mountains and river. The room was comfortable and the shuttle service to Talkeetna was prompt and helpful. Their commitment to service was truly demonstrated after we had left the facility. We had delivered our luggage to their staff for... More

We spend one night at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge on our way to Denali. I paid roughly $350 a night for a "forest view" room with a view of the parking lot. I was told the forest view room was "just a standard room" however, I had not paid for the cheapest room there. Something didn't add up. The room itself... More

While the description of the lodge not being up to the standards of a "Holiday Inn" is misleading you are absolutely correct in assuming that Alaska in general is very expensive when compared to the lower 48 states. We hope that you were able to enjoy the rest of your Alaska vacation. More

The hotel a a stopping point for the tour to the national park--it is nice, but nothing special. The view out the window, however, is something else! The mountain range is beautiful--a true Kodak Moment. They have a shuttle bus to get you to the "downtown" area. Be certain to take it because the town is a real treat. It... More

The people were nice. They do not have A/C. Open a window and turn on fan to cool room. Very clean. Here with a tour. Would came back. The expensive restaurant left a lot to be desired. Service was slow, food was barely warm. Seems they were not ready for a big group of people.

We stayed at the Talkeetna Alaskan Resort as part of a cruisetour with Celebrity Cruiselines. The hotel was first rate with a beautiful view of the Alaskan mountains. The floor to ceiling fireplace warms the room with ambiance. The grounds are manicured and beautiful. We enjoyed a delicious dinner on the deck with the late night sun shining on us.... More

We stayed in five different hotels during our trip around Alaska and this was, by far, my favorite place! From super courteous check in to beautiful views, spacious and comfortable room, this was an amazing place that I'd highly recommend. On the food side, however, the service in the restaurant was pretty slow, and the food average, but the trade-off... More

Beautiful grounds and when conditions atmospheric are good a fantastic view of Mt. McKinley 65 miles away! Rooms were big, luxurious and extremely comfortable and quiet. Meals were reasonably priced and good.
