Loved this place, will definitely be back. I travel with my dog and appreciate that they are dog friendly with reasonable pet fees. The cabins were small, tidy, and had all the necessities. They weren't exceedingly private, but not crowded either; we did go in the winter, so it wasn't terribly busy. It is hard to find a place that... More

We stayed at the Meandering Moose for just one night. It is a bit off the beaten path from downtown Talkeetna but we had no problem finding it. We arrived early and Kathy was great about giving us some ideas to avoid the tourists (several busloads had just arrived in town) and give them time to get our room ready.... More

We stayed in the Mangy Moose and it was very nice - not mangy at all. This cabin can sleep 8 and has one bath. The cabin was clean, the bathroom seems new or newly renovated, it had a large living area, and the kitchen was serviceable. There was only 2 of us - we like shoulder season travel -... More

My wife and I had a couple of extra days before our adult children caught up with us and we had to make a decision on where to stay. The Meandering Moose was absolutely perfect. Not only the accommodations but Kathy was not only friendly and ready to pleas, she was very informative and aided with planning day activities. This... More

We were playing cards and laughing in our $215 cabin when the owner came pounding on the door stating "let me in I am the OWNER". She then screamed very loudly "consider this your one and only warning". When we were closing the windows to decrease any noise outside our cabin, she shone her flashlight through the window to see... More

It is difficult to address a trip advisor review when the information is inaccurate. This guest had contacted me after she wrote a review and I explained that I did not contact her that night. Even though it was not me that went to this guests cabin, the request to be quieter after midnight should have been done in a... More

We stayed in the mangy moose cabin. it was a log cabin that could easily fit 8. We loved everything about it and wished we could have stayed longer. It's at the end of the road and next to a dog mushing team that was holing in the morning waiting for there run. Not at all troubling sound just different... More

When I booked this lodge, they said they would get me a full Gluten free breakfast. Upon arrival the daughter (who made it clear she was not happy having to work while her parents had medical issues). I was told that a local bakery did GF bread, so I was to get in my car, drive the 3 miles to... More

Special Diets are always a concern for those traveling, and as a lodging owner that offers a very light continental breakfast this may seem as a problem. We offer great prices for lodging and add to that with just a light serve yourself breakfast to with a few items to choose from hoping our guests have a little something in... More

It took us quite a few turns to find this B & B, but then it was midnight before we got to Talkeetna from Homer. What a beautiful house it is. Great big log cabin-like structure, and we stayed in the huge upper bedroom, with a king-sized log-framed bed. Futon for the kids, and an extra cot in the walk-in... More

Excellent location. . Off the beaten path, yet close to Talkeetna 1.2 miles and aviation places. Clean, comfortable and very welcoming. Continental breakfast is held in the main house. . Cereals, specialty breads, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, coffee, etc. Moose and other wildlife frequent the area.

Excellent b&b that surprised us for the welcome and the wonderful availability of staff. We felt at home despite km away. Definitely we recommend it to anyone spending few days in the middle of nature in this fabulous place. Excellent value for money!
