Stayed on a number off occasions in 2014 for work .rooms we're clean well maintained. And the hosts couldn't do enough for me to the point of doing my washing for me while doing long hours at the work. Even put my warm beers in the fridge for me. Kiwi hospitality at its best. Free wi fi was magic other... More

We were greeted warmly at reception and found our room spacious and clean. We were given good local knowledge and it was the perfect place for an over night stay. We had a two bedroom unit with a queen in the main room which also featured a good sized small fridge and microwave, lounge and table. The second room has... More

Stayed one night in the Studio Suite at the back of the property. Very clean, quite and comfortable unit. Double glazed so no road noise, property owners very friendly and willing to give advice on attractions in the area.

Stayed overnight enroute to Dunedin. Friendly quick check in. Clean room with everything needed for a comfie night. Average room tariff. Wifi free but couldn't get a connection. Small TV with limited channels. Beds ok. Good shower. Pak n save and a selection of takeaways 5 mins walk away. We had a pleasant stay.

Owner was very friendly. Room was very well-decorated and clean. The shower area was really small. Two heaters were provided. Complete and full kitchen. Good value. Even after 7pm, owner was still around to help solve some hiccups.

The motel is clean and a good value for the price. The thing that sets it apart is the hospitality. Frank assists with anything and everything. It's nice to find someone who will still go the extra mile.

Absolutely wonderful hosts. I couldn't have been better looked after. I had just completed a 1500 km drive from Northland to Timaru and Chris even went to the trouble of taking my washing out of the machine and putting it in the dryer for me, free of charge while I slept off the long drive. Had lovely chats with his... More

Set just off the main road, Ashbury Park was easy to locate but didn't get the worst of the traffic noise. Modern furnishing, comfortable beds and a lovely little kitchen in the one bedroom units. The owners were lovely and with free 300MB of wifi for free, I certainly wasn't complaining. My only issues though, were that the bathroom came... More

Lovely hosts, hotel room we had was a mix of new and old fittings, appliances and furnishings. The only disappointment was the free wi-fi, which was the main reason why I selected this motel. Yes, it was free, but only available between 2pm - 10pm - and limited to internet browsing and checking emails. I was unsure about letting the... More

What can be nicer than walking into a motel unit and smelling polish and disinfectant. The decor was modern and had all the nice finishing touches although the units were a wee bit dated and didn't get much sun. Being the end of winter definitely needed to put the heater on.
