Had to book the family suite as it was all that was available. It was very clean and tidy, lots of space, ample facilities for cooking if needed. The recycling bins were a bit of a challenge, but I followed the instructions. But as the motel is on the main road it is very noisy so be prepared for a... More

We were given a warm welcome by Debbie. The accommodation was very good - large room and super bathroom. Everything very clean. Good location when travelling and although just off the main road was nice and quiet. We even saw the baby penguins on the beach at sunset. Would definitely go back if passing this way again.

We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights in a one bedroom unit. The unit had a large double bed in the main room plus a lounge, coffee table, TV and small fining table. There was also a small but well equipped kitchen a good sized bathroom with spa bath and separate shower and another bedroom with twin beds -... More

Excellent motel for the value owned by a friendly couple. My room was extremely cleaned and spacious. Bed was comfortable and got a bath and shower in my studio. I will be back for sure in the future.

It was a cozy stay, but a weird smell sometimes. We got 200 mb wifi. That was good, but I wished for more.. The owners dog was very cute ;) It was close to lots of resturants and food stores 'n that was great! Well, it wasn't one of my best motels, but not the worst either ;)

We toured the South Island and stayed at several motels. This one was a stand out choice. Very friendly hosts as well. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and the bathrooms were well designed and of a better quality, with plugs, mirrors, shampoo etc.. Free WiFi worked too. TV had full Sky bouquet - but the LCD was a... More

Probably the best motel we have stayed at ever! Were in Timaru for a wedding and never needed a motel before, the owners were so friendly and happy for us to have a late checkout, was a great sleep, beds really comfortable, super clean and cleaners friendly and do a great job. just a comfortable place to stay. Friendly owners and great service. I stayed a week and sleep wonderfully all the time. Great bathroom, fully stocked kitchen and great wireless internet. Close to shops and a big park. Lots of takeaways close by as well as a supermarket. This is my second stay and I will be back.

The motel is located on a busy street so there is a lot of road noisy. Our room though was spacious and comfortable. The location suited us for our business needs. The hosts on check in were a bit grumpy but on checkout we had a different person and she was very pleasant and helpful.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the greeting that you received on your arrival was not very friendly and welcoming. I would also like to apologise for the mix up regarding your payment. We had been away for a few days returning after you had checked in. The motel was being looked after by a... More

A huge smile and a friendly welcome were the first things we were greeted with. Decided to stay for one night, on a whim, on our way to Christchurch, but Parklands was such a cosy happy place we ended up extending and staying three! Great kitchen, big bath, huge laundry, and a comfy bed- can't ask for more! Yes, the... More
