Owner was very friendly. He served us superb Cappucino and for my son, hot chocolate. Room and linen were very clean. About 5 mins drive from here was an area where you can find a big supermart. Checkout was a bit early- at 10 am.

Owners are exceptionally helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 2 which has 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed. Nice and clean, with quality crockery and glassware... Felt like a city motel but with rural friendliness and outlook. Had dinner at Robbie's pub directly across the road. The 10% discount on meals and drinks, when you show your room... More

Friendly lady at the desk and good breakfast in the morning, but that's about it. Our room was being aired out because of a heavy smoker the night before. With two young kids it was far from ideal. The lady offered a good discount and due to being a bit later in the evening I took the room. Shower had... More

If you are in the Ashburton area and need somewhere to stay you will not go wrong by booking in to Taylors Motel. The owners, Rebecca & Craig are great hosts. Very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel as if you have known them for years. We arrived at around 6 pm and were greeted... More

My partner and I stayed at Taylor's for one night after driving out to Mt Cook. Craig is a great bloke, very friendly, and really made an effort to make us feel at home. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The railway line is over the road, but we didn't hear it. We enjoyed our stay very much and... More

This motel is located next to a railway line but did not hear any trains or traffic as it is set back off the road. The hosts were great with good information and helpful suggestions. The room was in good condition and had everything we needed. The second tv In the bedroom was a nice touch. I would recommend this... More

We stayed in room 6 for 1 night in February 2014, as a stop over between Kaikoura and Dunedin. Very friendly and welcoming reception. Free wi-fi. Well equipped room that was very clean and comfortable. Very comfortable bed. Although the motel is located across from the railway line, there was no train noise during the night and it did not... The owner, Craig, is fantastic! He and his family do everything they can to keep this motel clean quiet and well maintained. The rooms are large and modern. The kitchenette is well equipped. The bathroom is crisp and clean. I wish more owners cared about their properties as much as Craig. Just book this place you will be happy.

Taylors Motel is set in pretty gardens on the outskirts of Ashburton. I was impressed by the large bathroom and the comfy bed, and the acres of parking. There was free internet and loads of TV channels, as well as plenty of places to plug in electronics. There were laundry facilities and a washing line which we used. The hosts... More

We stayed there for a night on 1st of Dec. We were very impressed with the excellent service received from the moment we arrived there. The owner, Craig, was very helpful. He carried our luggage for us. Gave us tips on where to find good food and also where was the nearest playground for our kids. When we accidentally left... More
