The fourth time we booked in this Top 10 HP. And this year's trip even 2 different times, incl. our last days in NZ. The campsite is quite huge, between the highway and the beach of the Orewa bay. Don't be affraid of the HW, as after working hours traffic is very calm. Most campsites are equipped with artifical grass,... More

Stayed here 2 nights and although weather wasn't great we enjoyed our stay, staff friendly, wifi good, toilets/showers nice clean and worked well, camp ground quite dark at night and ground very uneven, would stay again, its nothing spectacular but a nice average holiday park

Friendly staff, spacious kitchen, very clean toilet/shower block. Not far from shopping centre, restaurant and supermarket. Stayed in my campervan for one night. The artificial turf is a great idea. Office can even lend you cooking/eating utensils if you don't have any. Kitchen very spacious and clean, however, the dinning area which is also the lounge area with the TV... More

There is nothing so lovely as listening to waves rippling throughout the night. What a great spot for a stopover. It's a good 15 min walk to the cafés & restaurants but most of the walk can be along the track parallel to the beach. Have to pay for wifi is the downside. Can't comment on facilities.

We spent the night here on Saturday while travelling in our motorhome. Nice camp, very friendly staff. Great position on the beach. We were lucky enough to get a sunny beachfront site, great to get in the winter! Sites D30 was not that level, but we had blocks. Ground covered in artificial grass, good ideas, saves walking in grass sand... More

We stayed overnight booking a kitchen cabin -it was very clean & tidy but no hot water for showers the following morning (disinterested staff called in before check out responding to my complaint message to reception-offered no apology whatsoever& had quite initimidating nature)by that stage the hot water & been turned on presumably remotely) its a bit late! The camp... More

Have stayed in many Top 10 campgrounds around both North and South Islands. Orewa is my closest and regularly visited for one or two nights when we need a short break. Facilities are very clean and efficient. Cabins as well as powered campsites. Staff are friendly. One could not expect more from a campground. Plenty of shops in vicinity and... More

Stayed here twice during our 3 month trip round New Zealand. Positive: Toilet, shower and kitchen facilities are good and clean . Negative: Pitches are covered in astro turf School groups are accepted , who took over the kitchen, ovens and sinks , allowing no other campers access to cook or wash dishes . Large family groups were not given... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your two experiences with us as of goal is to have happy guests. Brilliant location. Clean, modern toilet/shower block. Showers huge. Park very quiet for a beach front. Sites not really private but are large. If you stay you must pay the little extra to get beach front. Worth it.

Thank you for your lovely comments and taking the time to provide feedback. We are very pleased you enjoyed your time with us and agree the beach is certainly worth waking up to. We do plan to minimise the privacy issue while trying to maintain views from as many sites as possible. More
