Good sized bathroom and bedrooms. It was a pity that the 2 bed with kitchen facilities wasn't available but there was a separate kitchen for us to use. Very clean. Very good heating facilities. Drying room was really handy. Owners were very welcoming. I'll definitely go back again.

Took a punt and were very pleasantly surprised at the basic but comfortable set up which for the money is great. Four young kids aged between 9 and 1 and no complaints (all tired from skiing though!). Really clean accommodation and warm and cosy. Spa pool a welcome feature for all. New manager since April who was very helpful. Bottom... More

We stayed one night in the lodge, the rooms here are very basic and the walls were quite thin, but it was very cheap. Also the rooms were quite cold. Great location, within walking distance of town. Very clean and tidy.

We stayed at the lodge for just one night over Easter. We took a wrong turn on the way down from Auckland and ended up half way to New Plymouth, I called the lodge twice to apologise and we arrived shortly after seven. I was a bit miffed to see that their office hours were till 9pm, so it shouldn’t... More

Belated review, but would like to thank the hosts for making our ski trip a brilliant experience. The hosts were very knowledgable of the local area and was able to answer all our travel queries. Room was neat and tidy, facilities new and in tip top condition. Spa pool was fantastic. The hosts were attentive and solution driven. Our first... More

We only stayed a night and Maxine on reception was helpful. The room was basic but ticked all the boxes. We were even given 2 hours free internet. It's close to the centre of town but further away enough to be totally quiet.

Shocking. After booking a 2 berth bunk-room in the morning we were told in the afternoon that we had actually booked a 4 berth bunk-room and we had to share it with other people! The lady at the hotel treated us in the most hostile way and said she had explained it was a 4 berth which was not true... More

These are the facts: You arrived Saturday morning on the way to Turoa skifield. On arrival you were told that we only had a few beds available in a couple of rooms that already had people in them. I said I could sell you 2 single beds in a 4 bed bunkroom. I offered to show you the room, you... More

A pleasant stay. I had an upstairs room. On a clear day you would have a great view of the mountain. Room comfortable and spacious. Brilliant water pressure in the shower! Handy to the centre of Ohakune. Host very helpful.
