We stayed here in September 2014 (2 adults, 2 children) in Unit 8 which is described as "2 bedroom deluxe". Yes, the motel has views, but no, the room is not "deluxe". The major issues that we found is that the room was small for five people (we were only four) and was not adequately heated. The room only has... More

We were away on a lads trip away. The Accommodation was nice, clean and comfortable. We didn't spend a lot of time here but definitely served its purpose as a place to stay and play for a group of lads. Bed, hot showers and clean towels... All we needed. We had four rooms and each room was a little different... More

We (2 couples) stayed there for 2 nights in a one bedroom suite (room number 5, ground floor) and I found it quite comfortable and cozy. As a Motel, it has a free parking so you can park your car right behind the room which is making it easy to get to the car specially in winter and cold weather.... More

Our family of 4 recently stayed in a 1 bedroom unit upstairs for a ski weekend. We always look for places that are self contained to allow us to have breakfast in, but did not expect to be picnicking on the floor as there was no table and washing dishes in the bathroom basin as there was no kitchen sink.... Stayed in a 5 bed unit and every problem we had the staff dealt with in a very unconcerned, blase manner. Absolutely hopeless. One of the beds electric blankets did not work and no extra blankets were provided which made for a very chilly night. Heater, hot water jug (anything electrical) were on the same wall as TV and could... More

Room was ok but basic. No breakfasts offered but there are cafes within walking distance. Very laid back motel offering nothing extra. Reception could do with more training but guess they only bother when its busy season. Be a good place to stay when going skiing but other than that wouldn't stay again for the price.

We were here for three nights in late March, out of the ski season. We stayed in a studio unit which was clean and comfortable but minimally furnished. For example, there were no shelves in the bathroom for toilet bags and no heater either - it must be chilly in winter. There was no hot water one night because the... More

Booked 2 nights - first night was like orientation week downstairs with other guests partying. No intervention by management. No reasonable offer to address the issue by the owner for the second night so moved to another motel.

Ruapehu Views is very clean and comfortable. It's 2 bedroom set-up has a double bed and bunks in a separate room. The lounge has a large settee and TV. The kitchen is small, but large enough to cook breakfasts - make lunches etc... but probably not well-equipped enough for a large evening meal. We stayed here as a base for... More
