I loved station lodge - my favourite place to stay in The area. Walking distance to great bars, hot tub in the garden and a log burner in the living area! What more could you want? Excellent value, and the ski rental service is also by far the best in ohakune! I would go back over and over again.

We loved our recent stay at Station Lodge. We stayed in both the Chalet, which was brilliant for a bit of luxury and space, and we also stayed in the Lodge which we loved also! We did this as a family of 3 with a 5 year old daughter who loved both experiences. The owners and all of the staff... More

They made me feel welcome and the hostel had a really friendly and warm environment. The fire was lite ever night and the whole hostel was clean to a high standard. I was really happy with the... We had a long weekend with family at Station Lodge Chalet 2. The house was well designed for the conditions, with a heat pump and a drying room for snow gear, and we enjoyed the spa many times - especially the kids. The staff at this place were great, really down to earth and just really helpful. We went on... More

2 female friends and I went there this week for a skiing break. Service at the ski rental was excellent - even though I had to cancel my ski hire this was not a problem to them. Station Lodge offers good clean basic accommodation, with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff who were more than willing to share their experience... More

We stayed in the apartments for $110NZD per night and were not disappointed. Bed was very comfortable, shower pressure great. Management was great, they turned on all the heaters before we arrived which was great. They helped us out with lots of information regarding going up the mountain and gave their ski and board rental shop gave us a discount... More

The Station Lodge in Ohakune offers not only a clean, friendly, welcoming environment in a historic building, but also unique opportunities watch the sunrise over Mt. Ruapehu, drive or tramp along the Old Coach Road, and generally soak up the coziness of this mountain town. The staff are very friendly and offered fantastic advice on nearby trails. Be sure to... I'm a solo bike traveler and here I found kindness and courtesy. Jane and Darren are professional, capable, and they can give you a lot of suggestions (and shuttling) to enjoy and plan your tramping, trekking in Tongariro National Park. The hostel is clean, spacious, and the living room/kitchen has a beautiful view on Mt Ruapehu. The village of Ohakune... More

We stayed at one of the double rooms with shared bathrooms for one night in december and it was great! Lovely host, spacious kitchen and lounge, located away from the main hub and overlooking the bush. Small and practical room with good matress and linen. Cleab bathrooms. Did not enjoy the outdoor area because it was raining and got there... More
