We had booked a 1 bedroom appartment to make our food, turns out our place did not have a table to eat on! Not so bad we had a good reason to finally eat out. The manager was very helpful in recommending a good restaurant.

I stayed for one night during my cycling tour and found the accommodation to be very neat and warm. The manager was really friendly and helpful. The communal area in the kitchen and lounge is spacious, filled with comfy furniture and the fireplace was delightful. I had the dorm to myself and found the bedding was great and the room... More

We recently booked out Station Lodge for a Family Reunion for 32 people. It was the perfect place to stay for a large group. We had a mid winter xmas dinner on the saturday night which we prepared in the well stocked kitchen. The lounge and dining area were more than comfortable for our group and were put to good... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Station Lodge. It was wonderful to see the property used for your Mid Xmas celebrations with family and friends. We have tried to provide a homely environment, offering plenty of space for people to relax and unwind, without feeling like they are on top of each other. We take provide is providing... More

Really a good place to stay whatever you fancy doing...we stayed over Easter weekend 2015 and had two great walks (including the Tongariro Alpine Crossing). When you get back there is a great shower and a very comfortable bed for resting the tired body... And close-by you can get a good meal and a drink if you wish. All the... More

I recently organised a overnight trip to ohakune with a group of 14 people. The staff station lodge made it so easy to book and pay and were super friendly. Had plenty of space for our group and were completely catered for. Made the whole orgainsing the trip so so easy! I will no doubt be using station lodge again!

Stayed in a private room. Kitchen is a must as usual. Easy to get to where we wanted. Stayed for a few nights. Were able to do the crossing which was awesome. The price is right too which is always a bonus.

YHA Okahune. Simply the loveliest of hostels, extremely well run, spotlessly clean and a GREAT credit to the family run owners. Only stayed for two nights sadly but two of our most delightful nights whilst touring the North Island. Exiting the bus we were promptly picked up in a comfortable and spacious people carrier. It's a few minutes drive into... More

Spent 3 nights here. Rooms were clean and well presented. Walked the Tongariro Crossing and did some mountain biking, including the Old Coach Road. Owners were helpful and friendly. Cycle hire was very reasonable. They also have ski hire in the winter. I can't recommend this place enough. Peter
