Stayed here with my wife and daughter in January. The room was very basic and extremely hot even though the weather outside was only mild. Whilst advertised as being able to accommodate five adults, our room could barely fit two adults and a child. Not sure where the extra people would stay. Probably adequate for 20-somethings going skiing, but not... More

We had a fantastic stay here with the Kids. We went for the snow unfortunately the weather was not great. We had one great day on the mountain but found heaps to do anyway. We went to the army museum which was great really interesting and also to the hot pools. The accommodation had everything we needed it is small... More

The best about this place was the host Lynn. She picked me up at the bus stop and took me to the railway station (which is quite far) at the end of my stay. Originally I wanted to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, but due to some very bad weather I had to give up this idea. Lynn then suggested... More

My partner and I arrived into a wet and windy Ohakune at 9pm after driving from Wellington- our host Lynn was absolutely a gem and was so helpful. When checking in, she discovered a free room so upgraded us to the next room :) We stayed at the back of the motel and had a great night's sleep- electric blanket,... More

We were very happy with the quality of our room and the house, and the host Lynn was very friendly and helpful. We had a queen sized bed in our room that was very comfortable, and the ensuite was new and had a great shower. The two fireplaces in the house gave it a nice cosy atmosphere, and all the... More

My wife and I stayed here at their B&B. Lynn was a gracious and wonderful host. Comfortable beds, and amazing breakfast. Get the French toast and bacon! Great common areas including a big screen, pool table, and ping pong table. Good location in between the mountain and center of town.

There are different types of accomodation offered at Snowhaven. We stayed in the Superior Family Apartment 8. It was an open plan room with a queen bed, single bed & a pull out sofa (which we didn't use) So, no separate bedroom but it worked well for us as we were one family on a budget. We had a lovely... Spent 5 days in the 3 brm unit at Snowhaven, It was a comfortable ,spacious modern and really well located unit very close to the Turoa snowfields and conveniently close to town. A short walk to one of the best local bars also. Highly recommended for families. One bedroom with 2 bunk beds, one with double and one with a... More

After a full day of skiing all you need is a comfy bed, hot shower and a clean room. We were very impressed with the standard of cleanliness, the bed is super soft and has an electric blanket..perfect to turn on before you go out for dinner! The shower was always hot and had good pressure. The drying rooms are... More

Stayed in the b&b, and the hosts are wonderful. Nice room, well priced, breakfast cooked to your liking. The b&b rooms are located within the house with nice facilities. The hosts made us feel very welcome and we look forward to coming back and skiing in nz in the future.
