A modern hotel situated just inside Oman so you have to cross a border checkpoint and show your passport or ID card. A visa is not required. The hotel is out of town so your own transport is advisable if staying for more than a short stay. Rooms were good size and clean with a balcony. We only stayed one... more

We visited the golden tupip just one month back, and it was one of the most terrible services that we had ever encountered from hoteliers. Generally, hotels are service oriented, the managers are charming, if not grim, but not downright RUDE and ARROGANT and with a 'I DONT CARE- YOU CANT DO ANYTHING' attitude. Good beach hotel in a very remote area ... right place to escape from business. Wired internet in the room. Only a two hours drive from Dubai. Good service and direct beach access. Small resort ... but got all it needs! more

Looks like a low budget hotel. Rooms are very simple designed, small swimming pool. Beach is not serviced but hotel looks very dirty - crowd not very international very local like. Very bad staff!!!! more
