El Rastro Hotel is within the city walls of Avila, yet a few blocks from the absolute tourist center of town. This is a good combination...close enough to be convenient and far enough to be quiet. Our room, while not luxurious, was spacious, clean and attractive, and the bathroom arrangements were perfectly adequate. Unfortunately, the hotel offered no breakfast option,... More

We booked a double room during the festivities of Easter, and we were given a corner room with street view, which was great. Tidy, big and well lit, and the bathroom as well. No noise or neighbourhood problem, but the wifi only funcioned in the reception. We did find a dead bug on a bed, but since it did not... More

Hotel El Rastro is just inside the Paseo El Rastro gate of the walls of Avila. It is conveniently located and you can easily walk anywhere inside the walled city. My single room was small, but clean and comfortable. The only windows looked out into a tall air shaft so there was little light or ventilation. The room had a... More

If you book for a single person you'll probably get one of the rooms looking out on an air shaft, with little natural light or ventilation. Also, the key system is annoying, because the card for the lights can't be separated from the room key, which you need to use to lock your door at night when you go to... More

Hotel el Rastro is within the city walls, a great spot for walking around Avila. The room with double bed was very roomy, as was the bathroom. Our room overlooked the street, but Avila, at least in chilly April, was not noisy at night, and the windows have wooden shutters. While the hotel does not have parking, there is on-street... More

Staying at El Rastro Hotel for two nights for friends's wedding. The location was very convenient inside the historical town and everywhere is walkable from the hotel. Our room was third floor facing the street and it got plenty of sunshines and nice view. We quite enjoyed staying there with great atmosphere. Downside was TV does not work properly. We... More

Great location, inside the walled Old Town of Avila. The rooms are clean and newly remodeled, in keeping with the old style of the area with stone walls, beamed ceilings and heavy wooden shutters on the windows, perfect for sleeping. Our views were very pretty and there was free parking right across the street and free Internet in the lobby.... More

Well appointed hotel in good location. Breakfast of poor standard . No bar/snacks until 8.30pm. Restaurant very expensive, ate elsewhere on second night.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic city. Great location. Receptionist was very friendly on arrival . The room was big and rustic with a juliette balcony with pitoresc views. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. We don't recommend the restaurant (across the street) linked to this hotel. It's expensive and the foodis not remarckable.

Stayed here for one night in the wonderful town of Avila. I have to say, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in Spain. Great value, strategic location, comfortable beds and excellent service. Would definitely recommend El Rastro for anyone who is planning a visit to Avila! Also visit Meson El Rastro, a restaurant run by the hotel... More
