The hotel is in a beautiful old palace and in a great location but that was the only good thing about this establishment. The room we were given was on the second floor at the very end of a long corridor with stairs ,so maneuvering our three pieces of luggage was a challenge. Upon entering the room, we checked the... Stayed three nights here while attending a conference. Paid €102 per night for a room at the back of the hotel, small, dark, but coolish and quiet. Quite a distance from reception. A larger room nearer the front of the hotel would have cost €40 extra per night. Apart from when there are weddings in the hotel the public spaces... More

This hotel is far behind a minimum Customer Relationship Management. It’s rare nowadays with such competition between lodging, to find a place where nobody, I stress, nobody gave us a smile during our stay. In the reception, no welcome word, no availability to help, nothing. In the end, not even a question regarding our satisfaction. Completely indifferent to us. But... More

Second time visiting to run a week long conference at this lovely old hotel. It has retained some of the original architectural features of the palace, and has a lovely patio surrounded by a cloister and a glass roof. The best rooms are extremely large and decorated in an antique style. Breakfast is really very good, with a huge choice... More

This is a large centrally positioned hotel adjacent to the cathedral in Avila. It is very popular with tour groups both for staying and visiting its architecture. It has a fine dining restaurant which we have not experienced and a magnificent central atrium which acts as an excellent meeting place for drinks, tea and just chatting. The reception staff were... Located inside the old city wall, this hotel was comfortable and charmingly old-fashioned. It seemed to be a popular spot for the locals to stop in for a drink after work. The restaurant was adequate and provided a good breakfast. If you're interested in churches and the like, you'll love this location' They have underground parking.

The hotel has been converted from a former castle and the building still has lots of original features. The atrium is stunning and a great spot for pre/post dinner drink. It is right next to the Cathedral and close to a good variety of bars and restaurants. Check in was efficient and the room a good size and very clean.... More

Cannot really add much to other reviewers. Central location - right on the main square. Avila looks magical, almost surreal. The building has character: high ceilings, arcades, big glazed bathroom. Reception was very helpful in pointing the ways getting in and out of the city - they are a little tricky. We used underground garage - wanted to avoid possible... More

We've loved our stay at the hotel. Just accross the cathedral inside the city walls. The hotel has a parking place (17 euros per day) so you'll not have a problem if you're driving. From the hotel you can walk a visit Avila at leisure pace. The room was confortable and clean.

This ancient castle has been transformed into a hotel. Since it is an old construction, getting to your room may be challenging as there are many intersecting halls and small sets of stairs along the way. The place is charming and close to the major attractions of this well enclosed medieval town. The ancient city wall is intact and quite... More
