A youngster handed me a brochure showing nice, big rooms in this hotel. I went there to see what's in store - they showed me a small, simple, dark room on the last floor. I was discussing with my friend if we should stay there or not when the owner shouted : "if you break anything, you will have to... More

The only really good thing - it is close to the turistic points of interest but still on a side street were is quiet, so you are kept away from the "turists crowds". It is a good base to explore the town which is lovely and I liked that it is an old traditional house, restored and you can feel... More

We actually did not get to stay at Casa Epoca because the owner kicked us out after 5 minutes! We had booked 1 Suite and 1 Double room. On our arrival, before even welcoming us, the owner asked us to pay right away. We said we would pay the next day, at check-out, just as in every other hotel we... More

My wife and I stayed at Casa Epoca in March of 2010 at the advice of the Rough Guide to Romania. I have to say that I certainly wasn't disappointed as the hotel was incredibly charming, rustic, and thoroughly authentic-feeling. It's a restored 16th century Transylvanian home that still has many of its medieval accents, including solid oak floorboards and... More

Casa Epoca has a great location for exploring the old town in Sighisoara, but being on a quiet side street means that it's a little quieter. The house is built around a tiny courtyard where you can sit. Unfortunately this is also where the owners ask people to smoke, so it's not a very nice place to sit if you... More

This is a truly beautiful building in the beautiful heart of Sighisoara - but the owner is trying to sell up and it showed in the service we received. There was a young woman on reception who also did our breakfast - she was friendly but no great cook! I'd asked if they could arrange a guide for us but... More

Romanian Tourist Office found this hotel for me. We stayed in Sighisoara for one night and we found this sufficient although if you want to use it as a base for walking, etc, fine but there's not an awful lot to see. Sighisoara is a medieval citadel, very picturesque with a few hotels and bars and of course the original... More

I stayed in casa epoca for two nights with my boyfriend and I was really charmed by the beauty of the place, perfectly in line with the medieval magic of the sighisoara citadel. The room and the common areas were tastefully furnished with beautiful traditional furniture. The lady who was in charge of the reception - probably the owner of... More

We were smitten by Casa Epoca when we arrived - this hotel is beautifully restored and is a very nice, cozy base from which to explore stunning Sighisoara. The owner felt constantly at pains to tell us that 11am was checkout time and her husband bizarrely felt it necessary to tell us 'not to forget' to check out. Anyway, that's... More

I travel a lot and have never before written to TripAdvisor. This hotel and their service just broke the ice. We booked 3 double rooms from this hotel and got confirmed rooms few days before our trip. We arrived late, around 20.00 and we receipt horrible service. They had only one room left for us. We started to solve this... More
