We are an Spanish couple who stayed one night there; it was a nice experience for us. The first meeting with Maria was so close, she is a very dear person. Although the bathrooms are quite small, there are two of them, so enough space for us. It is well located at the very old town, and they invite us... More

Nice b&b in the middle of the old centre, the people are really friendly and helpfull. We enjoyed our time in the b&b, esp. sitting and chatting in the garden (and drinking homemade wine). The downside is that the b&b is a bit dusty with old furniture, but hey, you are in an old building (which is the whole charm... More

We stayed in this b&b in August, totally trusting the Lonely Planet Top Choice label for it. We had refused much nicer and cleaner b&b..if we only knew..Our room was spacious, but dirty and very old furniture..the whole night we were afraid the bed will just collapse; terribly old bedsheets. We had the same problem with the key as a... More

B&B Kula is more like a home stay at grandmas' place than a typical hostel experience. Family atmosphere, tasty food and friendly hosts are the biggest advantages of the place. The place is located in the old part of the city which is restricted just for cars with pass. But you can always ask the guard to let you in... More

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time staying at Kula. The family is so lovely and accommodating. We had a big, amazing dinner one night and it was some of the best food we had on our whole trip. The house and backyard garden is covered in grape vines, which John uses to make his own wine. Highly recommended!

We loved staying at John and Maria's BandB. Lovely, quiet sunlit double room upstairs with shared facilities. Great breakfast and Maria cooked up a wonderful traditional meal for six of us (35lei a head) and John plied us with his home made wine from the grapevine above the outside setting where we ate. Very friendly and helpful.

We (family of 5) chose this place on the recommendation of the lonely planet guide. We were made very welcome and enjoyed seeing how the Romanians live in this part of the country. John showed us his chickens, offered us his home made booze and showed how he managed to get a large pear into a small bottle! If you're... More

We found this B and B through lonely planet. On our first visit it was my husband, kids and father in law. We were welcomed with Romanian coffee, and cookies. OUr rooms were well maintained, and clean. We felt at home right away. The kids LOVED the chickens, and grapes growing in the courtyard. I returned here three more times... More

I decided to stay here on the basis of a recommendation from Lonely Planet. I phoned ahead to ensure there was room available and asked about the prices. I told it would cost 100 ROM for the night. Once I arrived I was informed that the room would be in another building, which I was not informed about over the... More
