Wow, what a discovery for me. Every part of my short stay in Sighisoara was excellent and the hotel was no exception. The manager couldn't have been more helpful from a wonderful welcome, to booking a driver to creating an excellent spread for breakfast. The room (opposite reception) was large and had everything you could need. Take the owner's advice... More

We had spent only one day here but we had a terrific time. We were lucky to find this place since the entire trip was planned on a really short notice. An amazing thing about this tiny (only 6 rooms) but magnificent place is that it is actually a part of the history itself and one of the important monuments... More

This was my second visit to Pension Am Schneiderturm & hopefully not my last! Having had a wonderful experience on my first visit, I just had to go back & relive this. Schneiderturm does not disappoint! Second time around was even better. The same high standards have been maintained & Sorin, the owner will do everything he can to make... More

This was a great little hotel. We were only there one night but it was well worth the stay. The morning breakfast was great- replete with local meats, cheeses, honeys, breads and coffees. The rooms are cheerful and cute, small by American standards but this is obviously not the US. The innkeeper was cheerful, helpful, and friendly- he even allowed... More

First trip to Transylvania and his little hotel was a real gem to be had in the depths of the Saxon heartland! Never had I ever stayed in part of the citadel wall itself- charming! great location, splendid for walking around the city and day trips too. Many thanks to Sorin, the engaging, multi-lingual owner (i wonder if there are... More

Pension am Schniederturm is a great little B&B. An atmospheric old building, nice room, very friendly and helpful manager, incredible breakfast (if a bit weird and cheese-based!) and a perfect location right inside the citadel. And it's cheap. I have stayed in a few places in Transylvania and this is definitely the best I have seen.

I stayed here for 2 nights in the 4th week of August. The building is an historical building (it's attached to the Tailor's Tower of the Citadel), beautifully restored and the interior is tasfully rustic. Sorin, the owner, gave good advices. The restaurant, Rustic, that he recommended served wonderful soup. My laundry was done for free, and a blouse, which... More

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Pension am Schneiderturm . Sighsoara is a delightful little walled town and the pension is in an excellent location. Parking was also very easy – pay the extra euros to drive up to the Pension. Sorin is a delightful host – we really enjoyed drinking homemade aperitifs with him on the patio.... More

Pension am Schneiderturm is one of those places you immediately want everybody know about it. Next to one of the city gates, this is a quiet place to rest when you visit Sighisoara very well located inside the city walls and just steps away from all the buzz of the main square. Although with very small common areas, it is... More

I must admit I'm surprised by all the positive comments about this pension. The owner is engaging as affirmed by prior reviews but the rooms are very small and hot during the summer, so much so that it's difficult to fall asleep. Because you are forced to keep the windows open for ventilation, the outisde noise adds to the insomnia.

To Whom It May Concern - Did the guide before to make the group reservation inform everybody: a)about the real price of the room; b) about the size of the rooms, mentioned at www.booking.com c) about the Unesco Regulations regarding the historical medieval houses in the protected area. As for exemple, no plastic windows, no air conditioning machines on the... More
