The Pension Am Schniederturm is the sort of place i hope to find everywhere. we arrived having walked from the station and not having any real idea where we were going. we were hot and sweaty and really tired. Sorin, the owner was ready and waiting for us - he knew our names and had a couple of glasses of... More

The previous reviewer, from Tunbridge Wells, where my wife teaches and my daughter goes to school (small world) sums it up. I agree that Sorin has made an enormous effort with the pension and was very welcoming and gave me lots of ideas of places to visit and eat. The room was traditionally furnished, although no comfy chairs. I wonder... More

Pension am Schneiderturm is a small 6 room pension located in the old city wall next to the Tailors Tower which Sorin the owner extensively refurbished in 2007. The original building dates back to 1797. Other reviewers have highlighted what a wonderful host Sorin is, he really is someone who likes to do things properly. Location is fantastic, I never dreamed that I'd get to sleep inside a citadel. Sorin, our host welcomed us warmly, and suggested some great fortified churches that made our trip extra enchanting. The breakfast in the cellar was a wide variety of locally made meats (including bear!), cheeses, bread, honey, jams, yogurts and juices. Elderberry juice is delicious! As the... More

I stayed here for a few nights in October 2013 and I really couldn't have wished for more. Nestled in the heart of Sighisoara, it was perfectly located to see everything (although Sighisoara is quite small!) The real charm was the owner, Sorin, though. Right from the word go he let me know the best places to eat, what I... More

We stayed at Pension am Schneiderturm in Sighisoara in January 2014, and were totally impressed in every possible way. The hospitality is unparalleled, the facilities are of superb quality, and the breakfast is perfection. Sorin is one of the most helpful hosts we have ever encountered, and he will gladly assist in recommending restaurants, excursions, shopping, and even Romanian beer... More

Located just beside the fortification known as the "Tailor's Tower" just a very few walk minutes from the main square, this is a great B&B experience. My single room was quite small, but everything else was wonderful: the fantastic breakfast; the courtyard where you could relax; and the very helpful proprietor who arranged for a driver to take me to... We stayed at this lovely pension, only for one night. The location is perfect. The owner welcome us with tsipouro (a traditional drink from Greece-because he is half-Greek) and he gave to us from the very first moment information about everything. The room was small but functioned like home to us. The next morning, began the event of the breakfast:... More
