We had a lovely day and night at the Topas Ecolodge with dear friends. Once you entered the premises, your could not but inhale the pure fresh air and enjoy the tranquil beautiful surroundings. The friendly local staff went out of their way to make our welcome and stay as smooth as possible. After witnessing a spectacular sunset, enjoyed a... More

I first learnt about Topas through a brochure and though looked amazing, I wasn't sure about what it was going to be like.. it was amazing in every sense. We didn't want to leave! The rooms were incredibly clean, comfortable and had amazing views. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The activities room had an amazing chimney, plenty of... More

A magical setting. Bungalows are well appointed with amazing views over the rice terraces. Be prepared to be bombarded by the minority females trying to sell you their wares. Best to try and avoid saying later or maybe as they will continually badger you when at the entrance. The lodge itself is very inviting. Free wifi in the public area.... More

If you want to escape the city, the telephone, the internet and TV, and escape to the beautiful surroundings on the mountains in northern Vietnam, this is the place! Stunning views from every chalet room, all of which are sensitively furnished and clean with beds facing the balcony doors and mountain views. Breakfast was excellent and included in the B&B... We stayed here for 2 nights during March 2015 as a couple and booked the biking package with Topas Travel. The lodge is located in a beautiful setting amongst the rice paddy fields and Sapa Valley. The lodge offers a wide range of tours - we did the 3 day biking package which was great. We got to visit some... More

I stayed at the Eco Lodge which was highly recommended by my colleagues. The location is a bit out of the way so do put into consideration the van ride to and from the lodge, especially if you have just completed a long trip. Dinner was disappointing, one set menu, that's it and about $15 per person. I wouldn't have... More

Individual bungalos are well appointed and quite comfortable. All have stunning views of the terraced rice fields below. One cautionary note: much walking over fairly rough stone paths is required to get to the bungalos, the lounge, and the dining room. A shuttle can take you to Sa Pa (about an hour over very rough roads). Native Red Dao tribe... More

I was 1st put off that we were booked so far away from Sapa but after night on the train from Hanoi to Sapa and walking through Muong Villages - we found Topas to be a perfect place to relax, enjoy the quiet and enjoy the fabulous views.

Good : away from the big city, clean, peaceful. Nicely constructed -minimal yet delightful. Smiling and helpful staff, great hikes and lovely air Sad: doesn't seem much effort done to engage arts and crafts from local villages, theres is a small shop with stuff but don't know if it's fair trade or another revenue generator for the hotel. Large group... More

We stayed at Topas for 2 nights and just like the other reviewers say the views are amazing. We had a lot of fog but when the sun came out, the view was breathtaking! We stayed in bungalow 301 which had a view of the mountains and valley below. The bungalow is sparse: no TV, no phone, space heater, plugs... More
