We moved here from the awful Bamboo Sapa Hotel and it was a very considerable improvement. It's probably the best looking hotel in Sapa, clean and modern and pretty new. We had a balcony with great views and the room was spacious. The hotel has a swimming pool but it did not seem to me to be functional. Breakfast was... more

I and my big group friends came to Vietnam on November 2009, one of the best season to make a trip in this country. The first place we stay in Hanoi is good enough above the average as my opinion. Follow the recommend on the website, we choose the second place is Sapa. the hotel we choosed is Chau Long... more

I stayed in the old wing, but I found it met all my needs. I have to say the staff could not have been friendlier or more accomodating. After 10 days trekin in the hills, it seemed like a palace. There was a funny smell, but you soon got used to it. I was told it was common in Sapa... more

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. The view from the balcony was spectacular. However that is all I can really praise about the hotel. The hotel staff are just ok. The breakfast was average. The rooms were average. The toilet's flush was weak and sometimes got blocked. I dont know how this hotel compares to others in Sapa... more

Don’t get sucked in by the hotel advertisements about refurbished rooms. The Chau Long "new" wing looks great in the brochures with a scenery overlooking the mountains. Itis tacky, dirty and filthy! Could not see the mountains because of the fog, and the room state was disgusting! The "fireplace" was a small electric heater that did not work and the... more

It was a great place to stay - clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, especially for Vietnam, as there are more familiar western goodies than just omelettes (what most Vietnam hotels will offer you with a baguette). It was a good location too. We had no issues and everyone was great. The only thing was the internet was slow. more

The Chau Long "new" wing looks great in the brochures, and does have a good view, we were on the thrid floor. However it is tacky, dirty and musty. And as other reviews suggest you would be better to stay at the Victoria Hotel. Our deluxe room had a funny smell, the bed spread was so filthy I put it... more

The Chau Long "new" wing looks great in the brochures, and has a brilliant view (provided you're on the 4th floor or higher) but for just a few bucks more you could stay in the Victoria Hotel, which is what this place is trying to emulate. Our deluxe room smelled musty, and on the second day we had to block... more
