victoria sapa was an amazing hotel in a great location perched just above the town. everything at the hotel was 5 star--amazing linens, bath amenities, a huge bed (our family of 3 shared it instead of paying 35usd for an extra and it was just fine) the entire staff at the hotel is so kind and the breakfast buffet was... more

We stayed at Victoria Sapa for 4 nights and we booked it together with the train. We had a private 2 berth cabin on the train which we upgraded for on the spot. The ride was comfortable but loud. We also upgraded for a private cabin on our way back. In Lao Cai we got met by our guide who... more

I'll start off by mentioning I did not actually stay in the hotel, but rather went to the Spa. I will note that the hotel was set in a gorgeous spot on top of the hill overlooking Sapa and it seemed quite nice. (saw the lobby, spa, pool area & grounds) Massages are very cheap in Vietnam, and can be... more

We arrived in Sapa from the overnight train Litrivan express from Hanoi. We are a family with 2 boys aged 5 and 10. We stayed at the Victoria for 3 nights and 2 nights in Topas ecolodge. I felt the Victoria Hotel was extraordinarily expensive for what it was. We had a family suite and it was around $300 US.... more

We chose this hotel for a two night stay, following an excellent previous stay at a sister establishment in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We did not feel that the hotel in Sapa was quite as good as the one in Cambodia, but still provided high standards and an enjoyable stay. The design of the building is very much in keeping with... more

My partner and I stayed at this hjotel for 2 nights and were disappouinted. For the price ($170/night) We expected a lot better than what Victoria delivered. This hotel is looking very tired and very much in need of a face-left. The rooms are nothing flash. When we stayed it was freezing cold and very foggy. Yet the heaters in... more

We had a great time at Victoria Sapa resort. We have been there just for a night during our short holiday with sapaluxurytravel tour operator. They did excellent job to create an unforgettable trip for us to visit Sapa area and Halong Bay . Bliss ! Victoria is just beautiful. The rooms and hotel facilities are superb. Each room has... more

An overall very good experience. The rooms are not really extraordinary but the wooden walls and the design make them cosy and comfortable. Heating was not very powerful though, enough for us but we were wondering how it would be in winter! Maybe we should use the nice fireplace in the lobby ! Bar and breakfast were good, overall facilities... more

The main gripe I have about this hotel is that it's at least 30 percent higher than it should be in all pricing categories, when compared to similar hotels in other parts of Vietnam. Not a spectacular value for money. Having said that, I was happy to have stayed there. We spent 2 nights in Oct 2009 and the weather... more

Sapa was our last destination of our mountain bike tour. I had been to Victoria Sapa in 1998 and 2000 so I was happy to stay there again. Many things have changed in Sapa since the opening of the Victoria (the Hotel was the first foreign project in Sapa at that time and there was nowhere else to stay). The... more
