I visited this hotel several years ago when its name was Hoàng Gia Royal View. Now it changed its name and becomes old. Rooms are small, services are so so. But all about this hotel is its view over the mountain that's worth paying for, and that's why I gave it 4 stars our of 5. You will have great... More

The Royal View certainly lived up to its name and the view was worthy of a king. Just make sure you book a room with a view over the mountains. We enjoyed a cool morning, sitting on our balcony sipping tea and listening to the sounds of the town waking. We watched the children heading off to school in the... More

We were lucky enough to have a room with a beautiful view of the Sapa mountains. If it wasnt for that we would have been disappointed. The room itself was V large, quite basic but still decent. There were a couple of things we were annoyed about. First thing was the fact the halls are tiled and the noise with... More

Our family room was large and had a great view, but it was not particularly nice and was not as clean as it should have been. The towels were ragged, the shampoo and other products looked used, there was no shower curtain etc. Not so much the fault of the cleaning staff but the condition of the facility I guess.... More

This is an old hotel in need of some attention. I recommend the 3rd floor room, large with big windows for the mountain view. But there was a total white-out in Sapa on my visit as the clouds had descended so no view.. not the hotel/s fault. The bed was good and the room quiet but after I went to... More

There is really anything distinctively great about this hotel. Rooms are generally up to expectation over looking the mountains. Breakfast variety is kind of limited and the milk for coffee was not replenished even though it was used up. The reception staff is always nowhere in sight and at night it's dark and quiet. Doesn't really give us a warm... More

We stayed a night here. rooms were basic but clean. There is no air conditioning but the temperatures were pleasant enough without needing one, we arrived around 630am , they allowed us to check in and shower before we started out on our trek. Excellent location, close to shops, restaurants.

GENERAL Semi size hotel (28 rooms, 4 floors), on the end of a small alley, so a bit hidden from the main road, which makes it a bit tranquil, with a nice courtyard. But be aware: there's a nightclub/disco underneath which causes a lot of noise in the evening (at least on a saturday night). If you are on the... More

My daughter and I stayed here in July, 2012. We were very satisfied with everything. The most wonderful aspect was the view of the mountains from the balcony. The location is excellent - plenty of reasonable restaurants are right out the front door. The management went the extra mile - my daughter left her favorite stuffed dog in the room... More
