Booked as a part of a package so had no choice for a nights stay. I did move to another hotel the next night, only because I had made other arrangements prior- glad I did. Staff are very accommodating and polite. Food for breakfast and dinner - included in the package, was good. Wifi is available. My room was 2... More

I do not mention The Pumpkin hotel in a good way. We were there in January. It was something like 15C degrees outside but I had a felling that in the hotel is much colder. There were no heating in room! Windows and door were not tight. They has many holes that were 5 cm width! We asked for amp... More

Our stay here was included in our Sapa trek package. I would not have stayed here otherwise. There's really nothing "wrong" with the place but it is obvious that it has seen better days. The rooms were clean but tired and worn. This was especially evident in the bathroom. Although the shower worked, it was falling apart. It was definitely... More

I didn't have many expectations from this hotel but was actually pleasantly surprised. The place is a little rundown and could do with an overhaul but the staff were super friendly and made it a nice place to stay. We were even invited to join the staff for the Tet New Year celebration dinner. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay... More

We booked a package tour to Sapa from Hanoi through ET Pumpkin, so we were "stuck" with the Pumpkin Sapa Hotel. I'd read reviews of this hotel previously, and so wasn't expecting too much. Well, overall, the reviews were accurate: very friendly staff and pretty good service, good and plentiful meals, however, the building really needs some renovation. The rooms... More

I and my friends stayed in this hotel for 3 days. First, everything seemed really nice, staffs were helpful, rooms were average, a bit cold but okay because we didn't ask for heater (they would charge us money if we ask for heater though I thought it must be included). Second day, we asked for a car to go to... More

We booked in after we went on a 3 day trek, we booked the trek because Kong the guy at reception was the most informative and enthusiastic of the hotel people we spoke to. The tour was great, mostly due to our wonderful guide Tong, a sweet and helpful local who was always cheerful and full of local knowledge. Even... More

This hotel really could be quite good. The location is great and the management and staff, in particular, are very friendly and helpful. And my room was quite big, and had a great view. Breakfast (and lunch, which I had once) were tasty, and substantial. My biggest complaint is that the place is getting so shabby. In particular the bathroom... More
