I spent one night here while waiting to catch the boat to Cambodia. It was a nice hotel in a town that is unlike Hanoi or Saigon. There was not very much traffic and it was rather quiet although the hotel was right close to the road. I do not think there were too many nice hotels in this town.... More

We stayed at the Chau Pho hotel in Chau Doc. Nice, simple and adequate. We were looking for a simple layover location to wait for a fast boat to Phnom Penh after staying on board a boat coming from Saigon. This was the perfect stop. No worries: safe, clean and friendly.

This is a perfect place to stay while waiting on a fast boat to Phnom Penh. Location to city center, rooms and meals are well worth the modest price. We were surprised to see how many other travelers going north on the Mekong also stayed at this easy in -easy out hotel.

As previous reviewers stayed enroute to Cambodia. Clean room with aircon, TV and bathroom. Can walk to eating places. Staff seem to do their job, no more no less ie will check you in but not provide info about townsite unless you ask. No info about how to contact reception or menu in room.

only stayed one night, en route to Cambodia. We were given an exceptionally large suite, which was welcome of course, but furnishing is somewhat bizarre with tired looking plastic East European type furniture from soviet times. Breakfast was ok. Never ate at the hotel, it was lit up like an operating theatre. Ok for a stopover, but not much longer.

The room and facilities were fine as was the food. The service at reception was fine but in the restaurant was no more than average. This is an OK hotel for just one night but Chau Doc has little to offer

We stayed one night (booked by our tour operator) but would have chosen another hotel if we had done the booking ourselves. The hotel seems to be used for groups by tour operators. Our room was large but inventory a bit dated/old. Chair broken and balcony not cleaned in a long time. We slept fairly well even if there is... More

We stayed here for 1 night only, & it was the least good of all the hotels on our 3 week trip. It wasn't bad, just not as good as others. Reception - staff only spoke to our guide & not us (the only place where we were ignored), but the porter was very helpful in taking our cases to... More

3-night stay, couple, mid-week. Great customer service staff! Complimentary breakfast buffet had limited selection but all dishes available were excellent. Dining staff were all super friendly. Room was clean and we'll layed out, except for the bathroom which was poorly designed and of low quality workmanship by builders (e.g. shower water designed to flow along the wall down to the... We stayed here for a organized tour. The location is good, near the riverside. The room was a Deluxe and it was really big, with a big bed. It had safe and air conditioning. The bathroom was big, and the cleaning was average. Breakfast was really good, with plenty of choices. Good hotel for a step over to Cambodia.
