After reading the reviews on this site a friend and I booked in to Desi Seni for two days, which we ended up extending for an extra day because we enjoyed it so much. The people were friendly, the food organic and delicious, and the rooms each had a little history to them, which added to the authentic feel. We... more

We stayed at Desa Seni during the first and last 3 nights of a 2 week holiday in Bali. Our first 3 nights were at Ruma Shiva, one of their smaller houses. The room was about 40 m2, with an attached bathroom, a small porch and a front garden. The last 3 nights we stayed in their oldest and biggest... more

Firstly, I wnat to thank everyone who takes the time to write a review. This kind of information is very valuable to business owners. One of the visions of Desa Seni is to be a place for everyone, unfortunatly our philosophy has had to be a bit curtailed as allowing people form the outside freely use our pool has become...

Our arrival at Desa Seni on a Sunday afternoon was so disappointing – the pool area was packed including noisy children, the sunbeds outside our 2-bed house (Rumah Nasah) all taken and as we were led to the tiny restaurant for a welcome drink we could hardly find a seat for noisy people. My heart sank. An apology came through... more

Desa Seni, A Village Resort was built with no walls and no boundaries. A big part of our philosophy is to bring people together from all parts of the world and the community. We believe that part of wellness and traveling is experiencing, meeting, and co mingling with different peoples and cultures. Through experiences we grow, develop and nourish what...

We stayed with children 2 and 4 and had a wonderful time. We also stayed in the 2 bedroom villa by the pool but didn't really notice the problems of the previous reviewer- tho I agree the old houses are quite open and a screaming child would have been awful. There were actually no other children when we stayed. On... more

We stayed with my wife and son for 3 nights at the Rumah Nashar villa from August 2 to 5. We had been seduced by the village concept and the photos on the web site. I have to confess we are not yoga fans, but we thought it would be fun to start taking some lessons with our son there.... more

Desa Seni, A Vilage Resort was built to represent an original Indonesian village where people can come and experience what it was like years ago to live, breathe, eat and feel what life was like long ago. Our philosophy of staying original, green, and eco friendly has posed some challenges for us. As we believe in leaving no trace, we...

We were In Bali for 2 weeks and stayed at Desa Seni at the end of our trip. What fantastic way to finish! Because we live in Bali, we like to get away occasionally to a nice resort for a splurge -- and Desa Seni has been one of the best places, if not the best, we have stayed at. We love the unique houses, the friendly atmosphere, the delicious food (a lot grown there) and the gorgeous grounds. Great for yogis, too. more

Where should I begin? I stayed at Desa Seni whilest completing part of a yoga training. The resort is provided with an open-air yoga studio that was simply perfect! It's great to practice at any time of the day, very early in the morning or during a summer storm. Just great! The resort is like a mini village with bungalows... more

This place is really unique, full of charm, a real escape from the mainstream hotels in Bali. Food is fantastic, the old houses are superb, the views around are lovely, the staff really friendly and helpful and it's good value. It would be perfection if it was closer to the beach... more

My wife 5 year old daughter and I just got back from Desa Seni yesterday and I didn't want to leave. I travel a lot for work and lets face it all the 5 star hotels look the same after a while. Desa Seni is not one of those places. It is a village in every aspect. All the staff... more
