We were In Bali for 2 weeks and stayed at Desa Seni at the end of our trip. What fantastic way to finish! We could not fault anything about it - The resort was beautiful, the rooms superb, the staff friendly and service prompt and the food so fresh and an interesting menu. A great place to stay to TRUELY... more

Because we live in Bali, we like to get away occasionally to a nice resort for a splurge -- and Desa Seni has been one of the best places, if not the best, we have stayed at. We love the unique houses, the friendly atmosphere, the delicious food (a lot grown there) and the gorgeous grounds. Great for yogis, too. more

Where should I begin? I stayed at Desa Seni whilest completing part of a yoga training. The resort is provided with an open-air yoga studio that was simply perfect! It's great to practice at any time of the day, very early in the morning or during a summer storm. Just great! The resort is like a mini village with bungalows... more

This place is really unique, full of charm, a real escape from the mainstream hotels in Bali. Food is fantastic, the old houses are superb, the views around are lovely, the staff really friendly and helpful and it's good value. It would be perfection if it was closer to the beach... more

My wife 5 year old daughter and I just got back from Desa Seni yesterday and I didn't want to leave. I travel a lot for work and lets face it all the 5 star hotels look the same after a while. Desa Seni is not one of those places. It is a village in every aspect. All the staff... more

As I was getting off the plane I told my friend, "I have no idea where we are really going. Someone is picking us up at the airport and thats all I know" Easily spotted at the airport, our driver then wisked us off to our destination. We arrived at night to an exotic magically lit wonderland. Outlines of building... more

Desa Seni literally translates to Art Village and it lives up to its name. As you wander the paths, you will find little vignettes so beautiful that you must pull out your camera to try and capture it. A rare collection (the only one of its kind) of antique Indonesian houses, Desa Seni provides a tranquil and unique Balinese experience.... more

I could not recommend this place more. I liked it so much it inspired me to leave my first TripAdvisor review. Desa Seni exceeded my expectations on all fronts -- property, food, amenities, pool, yoga, the staff, and other guests (bonus!). The houses are all unique and beautifully restored/maintained. The property is much larger than it appears on the site... more

We (myself, my husband and our 3 1/2 year old boy) stayed at the Desa Seni for four days from the 5th to the 9th of September 2008. After considerable research, I chose the Desa Seni because of its concept, availability of vegetarian food, wellness activities and child friendliness. The other place I had considered was the Komaneka Tanggayuda which... more

This place just oozes with charming delightful architecture and design that is sympathetic to its Balinese landscape (no minimalist cube with a splunge pool), instead architecture and design that is just so eclectic and full of integrity that you just feel comfortable the moment you see this place. . The individual houses are close enough to feel village like, but... more
