we negotiated a great price as we booked 4 rooms in total. the restaurant food was wonderful, the service brilliant, great value, clean, friendly staff.we had rooms fronting the ocean with ceiling fans only but that was fine...even though it was up to 36 degrees some days. who needs hot water in summer! more

After being utterly disgusted by the room assigned to us by Jeevan House, my wife and I got prices for the Neelakanta as it looked clean and modern from outside. The hotel was not that bad as mentioned in the other reviews..maybe they have started cleaning up the mess.The view of the sea was good.Food was good too.The room was well furnished and spacious and properly disinfected.Location is the main advantage of this hotel. more

It has been a very disagreeable experience, the personnel of the hotel as if the did not exist, and we have found rats in the building and in our room. more

I had exactly the same experience as Kate0002. This hotel is absolutely not worth the money and the stuff is extremly unfriendly. Paying by credit cards needs about 1 hour as you have to go to an external office. more

We stayed at hotel Neelakanta Kovalam for 2 weeks in august. The website pictures we had seen had been altered to remove everything around the hotel.
