everything about this place was excellent. it is perhaps the nicest Taj property that I have visited. They have a very nice all seasons cafe inside, and an open restaurant. the staff goes the extra 100 years to make you comfortable. Food / sea food / south Indian food - all "A PLUS" I loved it. more

The hotel is now known as the Gateway. Situated on Marine Drive it is pretty much in the centre of the city. It is not a luxury hotel (3 star) and that is what you get. It is clean and gets by. The food in the sunlit restaurant on the ground floor is just about okay- it could get better.... more

I booked this hotel on account of the location near major sights of Cochin as also the reasonable tariff... I should say I wasnt disappointed.. Taj hotel, now called The Gateway hotel is located on teh busy marine drive. It offers good accommodation of a standard you would expect from the Taj. Overall experience was very positive. They could improve their gym and the pool. more

The hotel is recently renovated and done up really well with dvd players and home theatre systems in the room. Its a great value for money... will surely stay there in future also more
