Among the few restaurants in Bukavu, Coco Lodge is by far my favorite. The food is good and fresh, I recommend the pizzas prepared in a wood stove in one corner of the huge but albeit cosy dining area. Drinks as well are good and the staff is very friendly and quick. On Fridays, there is live music played by... More

The service at the restaurant is quite bad: the waiters are not pro active enough, they forget what your ordered (even if they write it!) and they sometimes bring you wrong meals. When you pay they will try to give you back teared up dollar notes (which are not accepted in Congo and which you cannot use anymore). Drinks are... More

My office was opposite Coco Lodge, and we used to head over there for after work drinks which would then sometimes turn into dinner. The Pizzas there are wonderful (but they are only available in the evenings). I have to say I love the staff who are really helpful and friendly

A group of 4 colleagues stayed at Coco Lodge over this last weekend using it as our base before visiting the low land gorillas in the Kahuzi-Biega National Park. The accommodation is very good with well appointed rooms on the second floor. Power can be an issue however the rooms have solar power back up so there is lighting but... More

One of the best places that I have beel lodged in the DRC. Internet is fast, food is delicious and is a perfect place to spend one night in transit or to use as a base to discover the wildlife in the Kivu. I would recommend Coco lodge to anyone that goes to Bukavu.

I spent 4 nights at lodge coco. Room was fine: clean, TV with a few channels, a fan, a desk, mosquito net for the bed (even if i didn't use it and had no mosquitoes....) and the free Wifi was great (of course sometimes down, but probably because of the supplier... also back after a few minutes and quite fast... Superb B&B. Outstanding hospitality and service. First rate - and very fun restaurant! Rooms are quiet, very comfortable and pleasant. Its also a part of the history of gorilla conservation in Congo/Zaire - which makes it that much more special.

I was at Lodge Co-co in december 2014 and stayed there 2 nights. I was chocked by the high prices - 150$ for a standard double room per night! The room wasn't even very nice: no view at all (bushes and a fence 1 meter away outside from the window) there was no refrigerator in the room, we only got... More

Coco Lodge is a staple for getting something that tastes good in a relaxed environment. Drinks are reasonably price and you'll always find people relaxing at night there. Can't speak for the rooms, haven't stayed there.
