I spent 4 nights at lodge coco. Room was fine: clean, TV with a few channels, a fan, a desk, mosquito net for the bed (even if i didn't use it and had no mosquitoes....) and the free Wifi was great (of course sometimes down, but probably because of the supplier... also back after a few minutes and quite fast... Superb B&B. Outstanding hospitality and service. First rate - and very fun restaurant! Rooms are quiet, very comfortable and pleasant. Its also a part of the history of gorilla conservation in Congo/Zaire - which makes it that much more special.

I was at Lodge Co-co in december 2014 and stayed there 2 nights. I was chocked by the high prices - 150$ for a standard double room per night! The room wasn't even very nice: no view at all (bushes and a fence 1 meter away outside from the window) there was no refrigerator in the room, we only got... More

Coco Lodge is a staple for getting something that tastes good in a relaxed environment. Drinks are reasonably price and you'll always find people relaxing at night there. Can't speak for the rooms, haven't stayed there.

In a safe part of town, quality finish, owned/managed by a Swiss couple with long term roots in DRC, great staff, OK food (Orchid is better and worth the walk), quiet rooms. No power during the day, so showers are before 10 and after 6, but they have plugs for PCs during the day. Good restaurant to get work done... More

I come to Co-co lodge often on business. The staff are really great and attentive. The restuarant is pretty with a great atmosphere. The food is definitely the best in town and they serve great wood fire oven pizzas. you will always find the owner visible on the floor. reallynice.

When crossing the border in Cyangugu to proceed for Bukavu there is not that much that can compete with LodgeCoco. A quiet nice place to stay with 8 rooms, fully equipped, electricity and water guaranteed, wifi, friendly staff and delicious food ! By the way best pizzas are served here for reasonable prices!

Definetaly best place to stay and eat in Bukavu. They could extend menu a little bit but still all they serve is quite tasty. If you can always book there! and ask the owner about gorrila trips. If you need internet to work mention it to reception staff ans not all the rooms are having good internet reception.

I spent two weeks in Coco Lodge, after originally booking the Orchid, and reading a review here on how badly they treat their Congolese staff. I had a wonderful time at Coco, which is partly Congolese owned. The accomodations are excellent, bedding, TV, hot water, cleanliness, breakfast. The restaurant is also excellent, with slow food offered a la carte, still,... More

A safari lodge in town. It is aimed at tourists that intend to visit the gorillas in the nearby park, but due to security limitations the lodge is mainly used by humanitarians. Very tasteful decor, and everything works, even the wifi. Well worth the USD 100+ price tag. The restaurant is probably the best in town, with a European cuisine,... More
