The hosts of this B&B didn't seem to want to be bothered by hosting people. The rooms are the basement bedrooms of the house, as if their children moved out and they decided to convert to a B&B. I have stayed at the Alaskan Serenity Bed and Breakfast several times and I can't say enough about how enjoyable my visits have been. Not being one who really prefers B&B's, my husband and I decided to stay here after getting a recommendation from a friend. The owners are very warm and inviting. It was just okay but I was disappointed. The owner was not rude, but definitely not friendly. The breakfasts were not very tasteful, as they were cold and we had to warm them up in the microwave even though they just came down from upstairs. We ate on paper plates, tacky to say the least. The setting and Denise lake is really nice and "Serene", however when I arrived the proprieter was not expecting me that day(booked over the Internet, and he had taken the deposit), so their organisation is a bit iffy at best.
