I stay at this hotel when on business in Wrangell. It is centrally located in downtown, so walking distance to most restaurants and shops. It is quiet in the winter months and a bit more noisy in the summer months when tourists are traipsing about. The walls are rather this so can be you can pretty much hear everything your... More

Sure it's a little dated but clean and comfortable, nice staff and convenient location. I think some people may have very unrealistic expectations when you stay in a 2 or 3 star hotel . Yes, it cost more than you would pay in many places, but that's Alaska!

This is a basic hotel but super clean and quiet. To me this is all you need since you will out exploring during the day. I will stay again when I am in town. Beautiful town, hope you get sunny weather but it is Alaska so expect rain.

We stayed here one night as a first stop on our Alaska trip. The inn is totally fine, nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about either. Our room was standard; queen bed, desk, decent sized bathroom, everything was a bit dated but OK. Breakfast is included (waffles, syrup, coffee and not much else) and so is wifi.... More

Sorry to say it but we were very disappointed in the Tides Inn. The outdated furniture and old bed linens could possibly be overlooked. But, the smelly room and filthy carpet were disgusting. Then the toilet over-flowed to cap off the whole grimy experience. We asked to be moved to another room but that did not happen. Office staff seemed... More

O.K. all you viewers out there. Let me start by saying, anywhere you go, only because I saw negative comments by others, look, if you are looking to find something wrong about a place, even at top star rated hotels you are going to find something wrong. Tides Inn is not a top star rated hotel, and I am all... More

The friendly staff picked us up at the airport and gave us a small tour of the beautiful town. When we arrived at the hotel they helped carry our bags to our room. We had a room over looking the water and it was wonderful to wake up and go to bed to a breath taking view of the water... More

I stayed in Petersburg for 3 nights and the staff was wonderful. I have read reviews warning get the outer waterfront view rooms since will be looking at a wall. Yes I was looking at a wall but for me a room is to sleep and bath and especially a gem of a village like Petersburg. The furniture was dated,... More

This place is a dive. The décor is from the 70s and still has bedspreads. The carpet is worn out. The hallways can be very noisy from fishermen partying. The view rooms do have a mini fridg and microwave. Would not recommend.

I had read some other reviews and was not looking forward to our stay but I found the hotel to be ok. The people who worked there provided excellent service and the rooms were ok considering the location. People who come to Alaska and expect the Ritz should stay home and go to the mall.
