my husband and i had the great pleasure of staying at hatcher pass b&b outside of palmer earlier this month. the proprietor, liz, was SO helpful and accommodating -- from helping us determine where we wanted to hike to baking cookies for us -- staying there was totally an outstanding experience. it was so nice to make our coffee/breakfast each... more

We have just returned from our family trip to beautiful Alaska. When we drove up and saw the beautiful flowers at the Hatcher Pass Bed and Breakfast we knew we were staying at the right place. The three teenagers were so excited when they went inside the cabin. Not a detailed was left out. The cabins were very clean and... more

We stayed in one of the two large cabins and were very pleased. There is a full-sized kitchen with pots and pans and everything one would need to prepare a simple meal. Breakfast was stocked in the fridge and we had a choice between sausage and eggs, cereal, muffins, bagels, coffee, juice, etc. The cabin was nicely furnished and well-decorated.... more

We stayed one night in a Sourdough Cabin. The cabin was cute and large enough for two people. It met our needs - but one night was enough. .The downside is: it's located directly across the road from a gas station/pizzeria/ice cream parlor. And the only other place I've seen as many motorcycles/4 wheelers was in Daytona Beach during Bike... more

We recently spent a night here in a sourdough cabin. Liz is extremely friendly and helpful. The cabin consisted of a queen bed, twin bunk beds, a TV, breakfast table, fridge, microwave, cooktop, coffee maker, and a large kitchen/bathroom sink. The fridge was stocked with eggs, sausage, milk, a muffin, a bagel, and juice. There were also single servings of... more

I've stayed here twice now, in June of '06 and June of '07. You have everything you need here. 'fridge, microwave, TV/VCR, phone, coffee maker, and breakfast food including baked goods.Your host,Liz, is very friendly and helpful. Cabin was immaculately clean, comfortable, and well furnished. The location is such that you're close to many scenic drives and activities. The drive up to... more

These cabins are as cute and quaint as can be, and are well maintained. The owner, Liz, is wonderful. She made reservations easy, made our stay pleasant, and kept everything very clean. The grounds are well kept and the individual cabins are spaced fairly and nestled nicely into the pine trees, giving a real Alaska woods feel. However, the cabin... more

My husband, parents, and I stayed here for two nights during September Long Weekend. We had just finished a week long Alaskan Cruise, and were ready for some rural relaxation within driving distance of Anchorage. Palmer, is located about an hour away from Anchorage, and strays a bit from the typical "land tours" that most people would take after a... more

March, 2007 When we first pulled up to Hatcher Pass B&B there were two young moose eating right in front of our cabin! A very heart-warming welcome =) The owner/operator Liz was very helpful when I stopped in Wasilla and forgot the rest of the directions. She was very friendly on the phone and even nicer in person. She even... more

This was our second B&B. The first one in Seward (The Farm)was bad. This one (Hatche Pass B&B) was totally different. The cabins are very well maintained and the owner (Liz) was keenly aware of making the cabins super clean. The walls and ceiling were all made by logs and well insulated. The day we stayed was rainy and cold.... more
