Moose Pass is about 20+ minutes north of Seward, on the road up to Anchorage. If you're interested in fishing, this could be a good location to stay at. The float planes out back on the lake are very scenic, and are entertaining to watch. If you're interested in checking out the area, it's a fine, but a little isolated.... More

Came to Alaska to find great hiking and biking adventures. With an outline of a plan that included a few Seward events we checked into the Trail Lake Lodge for 1 night. 5 nights later we are packing our bags. Our experience at the lodge was outstanding. The service could not have been better and the location was perfect for... More

It's not the Carlton Ritz, but with its rustic charm, the room was large enough with both a queen size and a twin size bed. The shower was small and the sink around the corner in the room. I liked the painting/print on the wall. We liked it enough to stay a second night.

Nice comfortable feel from the restaurant to the rooms. The food was great the staff were wonderful. The rooms are no frills but they are clean and the beds are comfortable. A pleasant surprise on our trip to Seward.

We were on our way to Seward but couldn't find accommodations so we drove to Moose Pass 1/2 hr away. Had to stay in the older motel but enjoyed sitting on the big front porch. Room was small but pillows & bed were comfortable & towels were fluffy. Ate at the restaurant for breakfast & lunch (generous portions). Food was... More

After hours of trying to book a room in Seward, decided to see where we could stay outside of obviously crowded Seward and just drive in for our sighting tours. So glad we did. The rooms are clean , comfortable and have a peaceful setting on a lake. No crowds - enjoy the beauty surrounding the lodge - and make... More

We had a hard time deciding on a place to stay for this leg of the trip. After much debate we decided to give this place a try and I am very glad we did. First of all, the pictures on the hotel site do them an injustice...they should really take newer pictures of their rooms and post them. Anyway,... More

Beautiful location right on the lake. Only 1/2 hour or so from Seward. Great pies for dessert! Decor/interior a little dated but clean and functional. Good value when compared with Seward summer hotel rates. Friendly staff.

Our experience was amazing. Came for three nights and the lodge and Moose Pass is the ideal Kenai location. The owner helped us in advance of our trip, booked our fishing trip on the Kenai (woke up at 5AM to get us situated, coffee, cinnamon buns and packed us lunch for fishing). We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the... More

I stayed here for 5 nights with a Road Scholar group. The "motel" is several decades old, and rooms are small and quite simple. Do not expect luxury. But you CAN expect a clean room situated on a beautiful lake, surrounded by mountains. Moose Pass is tiny and quiet. Just as we left, salmon began running in the stream adjacent... More
