Raspberry Island Remote Lodge is fantastic beyond words to describe. Birch and Tiffany as well as Sage and Fisher are wonderful hosts, cooks, fishermen, boat captains and fireworks illuminators. The staff and John "The Legend" are always ready and can read your mind for anything to make your stay great. Great fishing, hiking, kayaking and bear watching. We are ready... More

We had a fabulous time at KRIRL. The fishing was outstanding (caught halibut, kings, yelloweye and others), saw tons of wildlife (bears, whales, porpoises, bald eagles) and we were treated like family at the lodge with awesome meals and laughs. This is the way to do Alaska!!

Tremendous trip! It was everything we expected and more. The fishing was tremendous, Linda and her 154 pound halibut was certainly a highlight, but so were all the other halibut, kings, yellow-eye rock fish, and tanner crab. I could say that the fishing was great, but that is an understatement. I could say the hospitality was beyond our expectation, but... More

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Raspberry Island Lodge. If you are in doubt or in two-minds trying to decide whether to go here or somewhere else, go here!! The lodge itself its stunning - so much better than the photos show, and even they look good. Go on their website to get a better idea. When we initially booked... More

I truly didn't know what to expect. But ....our 3.5 days were fantastic! The bear viewing tour only produced 1 bear. But we came across another young kodiak unexpectedly when returning to the main boat after a day of fly fishing. The fly fishing was so much fun I am now addicted and own 2 of my own rods. We... My wife ( Mary) and I spent a week at Raspberry Island and we cannot say enough good things about our stay. The Birch Family and lodge help were outstanding. I am not one who likes big and fancy resorts and large groups. This place was perfect. I would recommend this place to everyone. If you are looking for a... More

We've been to KRIRL 3 times and plan on visiting again. Although it is remote from a location perspective, you are not 'roughing' it in any way. I first visited with a fishing buddy but we now bring our wives along and they thoroughly enjoy the trip. The fishing has been terrific every time and we bring home a ton... More

We spent 6 days in mid-July at RIRL. The lodge is a 2 hour boat ride from Kodiak, during which you are treated to spectacular scenery and quick glimpses of abundant marine life. When you arrive at the lodge you can hardly believe such an enchanting little place could be found so far from almost anything. Hosts Birch and Tiffany,... More

Well, my significant other had been raving about Alaska for years, and I finally agreed to go. Kodiak Raspberry Island Remote Lodge was a great way for a sportsman and his more delicate companion to "meet in the middle". There was an abundance of fishing opportunities for him; and nature walks, photography, fly-out bear viewing, and peaceful kayaking for me.... More
