The lodge is one of only a few places to stay in Kodiak. It's clean, has a restaurant that makes a decent breakfast (not included in the room price) and offers a free shuttle to the airport. Front desk staff was courteous.

Me and seven of my clients just returned from Raspberry Island on a blacktail and sea duck hunt. Due to weather we over-nighted at the Shelikof Lodge where I have stayed many times in the past. George and his staff went out of their way to make sure our group was comfortable and arranged shuttle service so we could see... More

I have visited Kodiak for the last 15 years to fish. Never disappointed in the fishing or the Shelikof Hotel. Great staff and the café is good. Very easy to get to and from the harbor to connect with our fishing charter. If you are looking for a five star property, stay in New York.

My son traveled to Kodiak with his high school basketball team for a tournament. The staff never skipped a beat having a hotel full of teenagers. My son left his wallet in the hotel and when he called from the airport, the front desk person ran down to his room and found it. She assured him that she would drop... More

The staff at this place are extremely nice and helpful. there is food conveniently available in the hotel morning through night and there is also a bar. the rooms are nothing special but they are cleaned well and the price is right. Great for TV show crews because of the helpfulness of staff.

This is not a real fancy hotel, but good accommodations at a fair price. The restaurant at the hotel serves good food at good prices. Free shuttle to and from the airport. The manager bought us a drink. He also picked us up at the airport and drove us around town a bit showing us places on the way to... More

A friend and I travelled to Kodiak to fish the road system last week and I know from prior travel, the Shelikof is an excellent base to work from. They have a restaurant with good food, a bar, a freezer where you can store your fish, and comfortable rooms. Moreover, it is a good price compared to other alternatives in... More

Stayed prior to a flyout the next day. Great location. Free pickup and drop off at the airport.Friendly staff and resturuant inside. Somewhat dated but no fisherman would complain. Lower price per night than most competetors.Across the street from a world class sporting goods shop.Driver took us to the market to shop . I would not hesitate to return.

We came in on the ferry, wanted to walk around and have breakfast and a friendly Kodiak local suggested breakfast at the Shelikov. Great recommendation - most of the diners were locals, and the food was fine - my first taste of reindeer sausage, tasty, with a spicy aftertaste. It is not a fancy place, but the one waitress managed... More

Nothing fancy, but i'm not sure anything In Kodiak is, but the most accommodating and helpful staff you can find. Our group consisted of 8 photographers staying at the lodge while waiting on a float plane to take us out to the boat we would call home for the next 8 days. Float plane was delayed a day due to...
