I've stayed at Wintel's many times while travelling on business. As noted in Frommers, the rooms are clean and attractive and the breakfasts large. Betty used to be a restaurant owner & chef and puts out a great spread. The food is one of the main things that keeps me coming back.

Willie and Betty, the owners, are long-time Kodiak residents and can fill you in on all that there is to see and do in the area. They also own a cabin the the Pasagshak area, about 30 or 40 miles out of town, which can be rented if you're looking for a more remote experience. more
