Tiny grungy rooms! Food and restaurant experience negative! This almost seems like a place that has outlived its life and is about to close! We tried it for its proximity to the water. Would sleep in the airport and eat from vending machines before this again!

We stayed there one night. Next time, we would pay a bit more and go for one of the other places in town. There was a VERY smelly chair (upholstered) in the room - I thought the terrible smell was coming in through the open window, then finally figured out it was embedded in the fabric of the chair I... We called many months in advance to book our rooms directly with the hotel. Everything was smooth and professional. When the first of our group arrived, the were told that the hotel was overbooked and they were upgraded to the honeymoon suite. It was very nice, and quickly became party central for our stay. (4 nights). The owners were friendly... More

I could easily give this place lower * as it is attached to a bar with a drunk owner that does everything to ruin your stay there, but I will separate the two (read my review of the bar). The rooms are small, but with all the amenities (fridge, microwave), etc... The blinds were broken in my room. A stay... More

Management is SLOOOOOOW for checking or even answering questions. The rooms are shabby, beds have horrible, worn out mattresses and not sure they even change the sheets. We were given keys to a room already that had occupants.

I booked through hotwire and when I arrived to check in the front desk had no reservation. Luckily, I had printed out my hotwire itinerary and the lady accepted that. As stated in my review title, we were given a 2nd floor room that faced the back of their restaurant. The room was small and had a queen size bed... More

We arrived ready to dine on seafood! We ordered the the tackle box. I ordered mine sautéed , my husband ordered his deep fried. After a wait of at least 45 min we finally got our food. Everything came out together , the chowder was really thick and on the cold side. The flavor was fair tasting. My seafood came... More

The folks here are very accommodating (they allow early check-in), but I have to say, the room wasn't very clean. I ended up cleaning the surfaces. Also, the blanket on the bed was a really scratchy "sticky" fabric. I folded it down to avoid touching it and brought in a blanket from my car to put up around myself. I... More

Located jus a short way from downtown, the Narrows offers van service into town free of charge. The people are really nice, room a little small but not uncomfortable and from our room we could see Orca whales passing by. The restraint is very good.

We are from Juneau and my husband was sent to Ketchican on business. My 3 year old daughter and myself went to Ketchican to surprise him for Easter. From the moment we stepped out of the cab everyone on staff was so wonderful and helpful. The first night we were there we ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Narrows Inn is the only year round hotel located on the water. We have panoramic views from our restaurant and lounge. We have an assortment of rooms ranging from our garden view, to ocean view, and three themed suites. Our shuttle bus is on demand for trips to town and the airport ferry. This is where "the bridge to nowhere" was supposed to be built, thus you must take a ferry from the island where the airplanes land to our island where the town is located. We will pick you up and take you to the hotel located 1 mile north of the airport ferry, making it extremely easy access coming to and from the airport. Our restaurant is known for its excellent food, especially the cedar planked salmon and halibut. ... more   less
