We loved the Cape Fox Lodge! While not luxurious, it is exceedingly comfortable and evocative of the place and peoples of SE Alaska. Our room was large, with lovely views of the harbor. The king size bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom very clean, and the linens were spotless. Another "plus" at the Cape Fox is the on-site... More

I have stayed at this hotel before. I have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean, beds are good, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. It has a tram to the docks along the creek. The lobby is beautiful and includes museum displays. A nice coffee shop is connected to the lobby. This hotel has ambience. I was very... More

While probably the nicer hotel in Ketchikan, keep in mind that it is in Ketchikan, a very small town. First, it is difficult to locate if you are driving yourself. Make sure you are prepared to stop and ask for directions. The rooms all have views ,either mountain or ocean but make sure to get the ocean view. The rooms... More

If planning a trip to Ketchikan I highly recommend staying at the Cape Fox Lodge. Great location, great rooms, great view & great restaurant. The tram at the hotel goes right to Creek Street for all your shopping and dining needs. Free shuttle bus rides to and from if you want to venture further away...Love this place!

They need to spruce it up. It is getting a bit aged AND they NEED TO CLEAN THE WINDOWS REGULARLY. The whole point there is the view so Duh! Great food and service and the tram to Creek Street is a treat! I grew up within sight of CFL and now live on the East Coast but come home to... More

Thank you for you comments. We're happy you enjoyed your stary at Cape Fox Lodge. We strive to give our guests a great view and we are sorry your windows were not clean, the winter months make a mess. We'll start our spring clean and make sure they are sparkling for your next visit. More

The bed was really comfortable. Ketchikan has moisture problems but the room smellest fresh. The drain was a teeny bit slow. The view was incredible and the room was spacious with good lighting. Had a steak at the restaurant that was super tasty.

I have stayed at cape fox lodge two times for business in the last few months. Both visits were exceptional with helpful staff, excellent food in the restaurant and easy access to the town. I appreciate having an available driver to shuttle around to meetings, to/from the airport and everything in between. If your travels take you to Ketchikan, this... More

This is considered the best Hotel in Ketchikan, this is word of mouth by locals so I cna't compare. It sits up on a hill the overlooks the historic district and channel. Out the back window are beutiful snow-evergreen covered mountains, so no bad rooms. The rooms are average, nothing special, they could use some updating, our tv was tube... More

I was recently in Ketchikan on business. I'm in the tourism Industry and frankly find Ketchikan full of not so friendly industry workers and staff. Is this because they don't have to try harder because of the huge volume of passenger that visit via cruise ship every season? That said I was a pleasure to stay at the Cape Fox... More

Perched atop a beautiful hill overlooking the town, this impeccably clean, totally modern hotel has great views to the mountain and the ocean. Friendly people, very good restaurant and free continental breakfast in the winter are a plus. Excellent access by car with ample parking and easy access to town via a free scenic tram/elevator. A great place to stay.
