We loved this hotel. Built in 1927 and nicely restored, it was charming, quaint, and a great location in walking distance to sites and shops. The staff does not hover but are available if you need them, making it a good place to kick back, slow your pace and take in the harbor and majestic surroundings. The room was nicely... More

This quirky little place kind of sums up the "Alaska Experience". That is, if you don't see Alaska from the rail of the top deck on a cruise ship! The place is really clean and very nice. It's quirky because while it is physically connected with the restaurant in the same building, which you can access through an adjoining door,... More

I was placed in this hotel by a client during a business-related visit to Ketchikan. Upon arriving I was a bit put off by the outward appearance. It was a rather plain looking, nondescript building by outward appearances. I stepped into the quaint lobby and checked in. The hotel is historic, they haven't upgraded the doors to card key access,... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. You are correct in stating our second floor rooms are not handicap accessible. Unfortunately, historic buildings were not designed to... More

We were stranded by weather and could not continue to Juneau, hotel had a van that picked us up, warm and friendly arrival- Rooms were well appointed and very clean. Only drawback is if you have mobility issues- the stairs up to the rooms are very steep and there is no elevator. We would diffinetly stay here again.

Stayed here after going to several parties in down town Ketchikan New Years of 2013/14. I plan to do the same this year! Great old feel, comfortable beds and lovely decor. Good deal too for the new year! It's a strangely laid out building but that's because of it obvious historic age and location. Interesting to me!

This is my third time staying at this hotel and have enjoyed each time. Very friendly people with courtesy van service and close to the main part of Ketchikan. The rooms I have had were always spotlessly clean and roomy. Downside is the bar can get noisy on the weekends but doesn't go on until the wee hours.

I've had two extended stays over the last week and I couldn't be happier. The New York was a perfect place to chill out after a long season of work. The retro 1930s aesthetic was really cool and the view of the marina was excellent. The staff was exceptionally helpful for all of my needs especially Laura who went out... More

The New York Hotel is part of "Inn at Creek Street and New York Hotel" (more than one historic building). It's a fabulous little place, with character and a friendly owner and staff. They make you feel at home, and go out of their way to be helpful. In the rooms, it feels like a bed and breakfast, and in... More

We knew this was an older hotel. Our room was so darn cute. 2 twins in the back. The bathrom was not old and had been updated. It was our second experience with no ac/fan/screens on our trip, and would not be the last. It was not hot tho. It was an adventure. :) If you have trouble with stairs,... More

The hotel is older, really steep stairs and no air conditioning. It was very warm when I was there and I wish they would have told me there was a fan available:( great location, beautiful view.
