Our time with Sharon was more like visiting a friend than staying in a B and B. The room downstairs was completely comfortable, and we were the only ones there so sharing a bathroom wasn't an issue. The artifacts were a plus, but the big draw is Sharon herself. She has had an interesting life and we were pleased to... More

We had the pleasure to stay one night and Sharon was a welcoming hostess. Our bed was extremely comfy with sumptuous linens. We were a little nervous having to share a bathroom, but to our surprise we were the only guests that night. Sharon's blueberry cream cheese casserole was delicious. We found her life in Alaska interesting as well as... More

Recently stayed with Sharon for 2 nites in August. Was an awesome experience. Comfortable beds, very clean and a great breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay with her bed and breakfast while traveling in the area.

Both my husband and I loved this place. We staged our rafting trip nearby. Quiet, with beautiful and comfortable bedrooms surrounded by the songs of so many birds outside. Breakfast was sourdough waffles...the best I've had and homemade juice and jam. I must confess, it was with some trepidation with truth in advertising, that we discovered our grouchy old host... My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Grouchy Old Woman B & B. and let me assure you, Sharon is not grumpy but one of the nicest people I have met here in Alaska. Her blueberry cream cheese breakfast is delicious. The flowers all around were beautiful. The Alaskan relics in the house were fascinating. I highly... More

We found this B&B when looking for lodging in the Kenai area that was near a bearsighting adventure. Our exchange with Sharon prior to arriving was very pleasant and meeting her was even more pleasant. Her B&B is located right next to Daniels Lake and is very comfy, clean and cozy. Sharon is a great cook and has a lot... More

This was the best accommodation we had during a 2 week trip to Alaska. This is truly a great value. You get wonderful cooked breakfasts every morning. The owner and her daughter are very friendly and helpful. The room and bath are clean, nice and the bed is super comfy. I would highly recommend this B&B.

What makes staying at this B&B so special is the owner, Sharon. She made us feel at home right away. We stayed in one of the rooms downstairs, which shares a bathroom with a second room that was unoccupied at the time we stayed there. We enjoyed having the downstairs space to ourselves after long days of hiking. The B&B... More

We visited the Kenai peninsula during fishing frenzy time. We are photographers so we wanted a place more removed from the crowds. Sharon, the owner is a wonderful lady. It was more like visiting a friend's home. Our room and common area were spotless, very compfy bed and clean towels everytime you used one. Good breakfast and good company. Getting... More

Sharon is a great, accommodating hostess. Her food is great and the setting idyllic. We have stayed with her many times over the years. I would rather stay with her than in Kenai "proper" any day. I especially enjoy the downstairs apartment that becomes ones home-away-from-home. We live in Anchorage and have to travel to the area for business occasionally.... More
