We stayed in the Goldbelt hotel for 3 nights. The room was very spacious with very comfortable beds. Great view out the window of forest. I appreciated the insights into the Tlingit culture throughout Juneau and particularly at the Goldbelt hotel where Dek, who drove us to the airport told us very interesting stories about her people and their culture.

Four of us stayed here for 3 nights. It's adequate but isn't memorable. The property seems nice but the service was barely adequate. PROS: > Clean rooms > Restaurant prices not too bad > Nice location > Nice views from ocean-side rooms > Avis rent-a-car right in the lobby. CONS > We had a toilet that leaded water around its... Not sure how this hotel was renovated as room decor and bathrooms were quite dated. Beds are comfortable however and great views from ocean side. Best to have rooms a few floors up and away from elevator. Hotel has 7 floors. Hotel offers shuttle from airport, about 20 min away, but didn't have enough drivers. Our flight had 13 people... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night, 8/3/14. It was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. No air conditioning so take a small fan if you get hot! Great location for walking to town. Bed was GREAT. Hotel about the level of a newer Comfort Inn.

We checked in on Sat July 26th. Had our reservations incorrect. The folks working on the weekend could not help us much and said he manager would be in on Monday. When the manager got in on Monday morning, he was very helpful and refunded our one night stay for our trouble. He was very nice and said this is... More

The water view rooms are best in Juneau. Great view of all harbor operations and channel mountains. Convenient to all activities and away from the daily cruiser crowd. Quiet atmosphere, Very Comfortable bed . Only issue was 1pm airport shuttle driver did not show up. Finally at 1:15 desk clerk ordered cab only after giving away four of the 6... More

The hotel just had a facelift completed in the rooms an common area and is reasonably priced for Juneau. The staff goes from excellent and customer focused to totally incompetent. The day staff at the desk was very attentive but the night person took 15 minutes to check us in while six additional folks waited in line. I hope they... More

It is Alaska, so common sense hotel functionality isn't a given. The bed was comfy, I got a good night's sleep, and the view of the waterfront was nice, so in that respect the hotel was a success. Horrible WiFi, cold showers, bad irons and ironing boards, no air circulation, and indifferent staff are just by products of a hotel... More

The goldbelt benefits greatly from limited competition. The hotel and rooms are very standard. Nothing uncomfortable, nothing wonderful. Middle of the road type of bed and room size. The hotel staff ranged from complete incompetent to very nice. We were actually triple charged for some reason, more than likely due to our using booking.com to make our reservation. Evidently only... More

As other have said, this is not Manhatten. We wanted to stay at the Baronoff but it was full. Turns out this was a much better choice for us. We had a room on the sixth floor overlooking the water. It was wonderful each day to return to that view! The room was recently renovated, spacious, and clean. We had... More
