The hotel just had a facelift completed in the rooms an common area and is reasonably priced for Juneau. The staff goes from excellent and customer focused to totally incompetent. The day staff at the desk was very attentive but the night person took 15 minutes to check us in while six additional folks waited in line. I hope they... More

It is Alaska, so common sense hotel functionality isn't a given. The bed was comfy, I got a good night's sleep, and the view of the waterfront was nice, so in that respect the hotel was a success. Horrible WiFi, cold showers, bad irons and ironing boards, no air circulation, and indifferent staff are just by products of a hotel... More

The goldbelt benefits greatly from limited competition. The hotel and rooms are very standard. Nothing uncomfortable, nothing wonderful. Middle of the road type of bed and room size. The hotel staff ranged from complete incompetent to very nice. We were actually triple charged for some reason, more than likely due to our using booking.com to make our reservation. Evidently only... More

As other have said, this is not Manhatten. We wanted to stay at the Baronoff but it was full. Turns out this was a much better choice for us. We had a room on the sixth floor overlooking the water. It was wonderful each day to return to that view! The room was recently renovated, spacious, and clean. We had... More

We were at this hotel on Saturday. The girl at the front desk was by herself and couldn't keep up with the phone ringing and people trying to check in. We had to wait until 6 pm to check into our room because housekeeping hadn't cleaned the room yet. So much for an advertised 3 pm check in. The person... More

OK travelers, Juneau, AK isn't Manhattan -- it's not even Kansas and the Goldbelt isn't the Four Seasons. This is Alaska and it's about as good as you can expect. The Goldbelt is very convenient for those boarding cruises out of Juneau or doing business in Juneau. It's across from the cruise docks, next to the civic center, and steps... More

The rooms in this hotel were clean and spacious and it is conveniently located for the centre of town. It's not luxury but a comfortable hotel to go back to at the end of the day and there was free wifi in all the rooms. Breakfast wasn't included but this is fine as there are several good cafes close by.

When we booked our flight all the downtown hotels were full, but the day before we flew out we checked again and found a room at the Goldbelt, so moved over. AND ARE WE GLAD WE DID. No longer did we need a rental car ($65-80 a day in landlocked Juneau), we were perfectly positioned downtown and could use hotel... More

Dear Foodie, Thank you for choosing the Goldbelt Hotel for your recent stay in Juneau and for taking the time to rate us on TripAdvisor. We love the views from the sleeping rooms, both water front and mountain side, and are really pleased with our new in-room upgrades. We've done a lot of work to refurbish the property and there's... We started out at the Hotel Juneau, which was much higher rated in guidebooks and on Trip Advisor. We realized very quickly though that the Hotel Juneau was way too far from Town! We moved to the Goldbelt after one night, and were very lucky to get a room since it was so busy in town. We got a fabulous... More
