We stayed here twice on our recent trip to Alaska. They provide free shuttle pick-up from the Airport and Ferry Station which is a good savings versus taxi fare if you are not renting a car for your stay. The rooms are very basic but have everything you need including a kitchenette. There are also laundry facilities. We stayed in... More

My family and extended family were treated to a summer trip to Juneau by my 90 yr old Dad. 14 of us stayed in 3 rooms with two of the rooms having kitchen facilities. The motel isn't fancy but clean and adequate. We didn't spend much time in our rooms anyway. View was ok of mountainside and beds comfortable..all within... More

A quick look at a map of Juneau will show you that there is a long way to travel between the airport, ferry terminal and the town. The free, friendly pick-up offered by Driftwood is invaluable for anyone using the ferry system. The motel is also centrally located, with a one-block walk to the shops. We had the fully equipped... We stayed at the Driftwood 2 years in a row for 2 weeks each time. It is a no frills place, located just a couple of blocks from the heart of downtown Juneau. It is not fancy, but is only a short walk from other downtown hotels. It has an excellent breakfastlunch restaurant on the premises, The Sandpiper, which is... More

Clean, roomy, comfortable and well-located. Good WiFi signal in our room. We had free transportation from the airport on arrival and to the Alaska ferry terminal on departure - worth a considerable amount of money. Helpful staff, especially owner Kathy. On-site convenient coin operated laundry. Very good value.

The people were nice and helpful, the location was good, the two bedroom with kitchen was perfect for us. The room itself was adequately clean but we discovered mold in the bath. The walkways and railings were also very rusted and questionable since we were on the third floor. No elevator. The restaurant next door had great breakfast.

Nope, it's not especially pretty. No chocolates on the pillows, and a tired decorating scheme. I don't know how many television channels they get, and I never keep the shampoo. BUT, for Juneau in peak summer season, this is your cheapest, right-in-town, safe, clean option. If you are vacationing in Juneau alone - then get something cute like the SilverBow,... More

This hotel looked good on their web pages, but once inside the room, We had a shock. Very small dark room with a very old bathroom that was in need of an urgent update, and could have been a lot cleaner and brighter. But it was one of the cheaper hotels in Juneau and we only stayed for 3 nights.... More

We stayed on a second floor room on the far end of the building. The price was right, and they allowed the dog for a reasonable charge. The front desk staff were very friendly and very helpful. Very impressed with the staff. The room was a good size and very clean when we arrived. Our only real complaint was noise:... More

I enjoyed my stay at the Driftwood Lodge. The room was clean and inexpensive. The room smelled really old, but not too much to handle. Their staff was really wonderful. Helpful and friendly. When I missed my flight, they came back to the airport to get me and brought me back for my later flight. That really made my day!... More
