We stayed at the Driftwood at the beginning and end of our vacation. Both times we had a kitchenette. We loved the place. It was large, clean, and very well located. The courtesy vans fetched transported us to and from the airport and ferry terminal. The drivers were very friendly and helpful. You can see the governor's mansion from the... more

We stayed six nights at the Driftwood. Most of our friends stayed at the Baranof. From what I could tell, we made the best decision. It's definitely Alaska basic but with comfortable bed, good cleanliness and it was great to have a kitchen and living area. We were picked up promptly at the ferry and into our room by 10... more

If you're looking for basic comfort at a decent price, Driftwood Lodge is your place. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Shuttle service to and from airport and ferry was very helpful. They let me store baggage prior to my stay, and refrigerated items for me overnight. Staff was helpful. more

We were collected from the airport. The courtesy bus driver showed us points of interest on the way to our accommodation. The staff were friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a kitchette in the room that made eating cheaper for us. The supermarket was only a few hundred yards away. This accommodation was on three... more

A cheap motel surrounded by parking lots. The staff was not helpful, old worn beds, old bedding. Small cramped bathroom. On the positive side, It is close to the heart of downtown and next to a good breakfast place. If a low price is your only consideration, try it. If you want an enjoyable memory of your stay, look elsewhere... more

The hotel shuttle is fabulous saving us $30. in cabfare each time. We used this property between trips to Glacier Bay and then for another three night stay using the shuttle from the ferry dock and airport at least six times. We even rode out to WalMart to buy another digital card. The standard rooms are not pretty (needs serious... more

My long-term partner and I travelled from Prince Rupert to Juneau by the Alaska Highway Ferry Service on a 9 week holiday. This room was just a typical room, spacious, convenient location and reasonable value for money. We weren't disappointed. The breakfast served by the establishment downstairs had a very comprehensive and positively interesting breakfast menu we've ever come across... more

The Driftwood Lodge is located in a perfect spot if you want to see "downtown" Juneau and the waterfront. Within walking distance of everything, the Driftwood is inexpensive, convenient and the two bedroom with kitchenette has everything you might need. A deli is on the hotel grounds, a terrific breakfast restaurant also on the grounds (a must-do, in my opinion)... more

Rather than stay at a $300.00 a night hotel for just an overnight, the $94.00 Driftwood made more economic sense. For anyone cruising, you are in walking distance to the Goldbelt Hotel to drop off luggage if cruising with Cruise West. The room was clean, but drab. Bed was comfortable and location was very good. Deli right there also. more
