The house is amazing. Linda and Mark have renovated the space with loving care. We stayed in the Governor's suite which was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The location is ideal and Linda and Mark's hospitality unsurpassed. The little touches (like nightly wine and goodies) as well as lots of great info on the local sights made our stay very special.... more

My family and I stayed at the Inn in mid-June 2009 to attend my niece's wedding (my brother is father of the bride). Linda and Mark welcomed us over a period of a week, some staying longer than others. We were able to meet up at breakfast or on the front porch, or mostly in the back kitchen where all... more

Alaska's Capital Inn is a gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were home and Linda and Mark our family. The inn is furnished in antiques and whimsical artifacts like the piece of baleen hanging over the door way and old photos of Juneau. We loved John's Room, with hardwood floors, a lovely tiled bathroom with a... more

The Alaska's Capital Inn still fascinates me. This was our second trip to the B&B. Linda and Mark are the best hosts I have ever met. The warmth and friendliness of their Bed & Breakfast is phenominal. We really got a feel of the true Alaskan hospitality and felt like a local in no time. The locals stop by and... more

My husband and I decided to get married in Alaska. We wanted a small, intimate wedding, in a nice bed and breakfast. We decided on Juneau specifically to stay at the Alaska's Capital Inn. Although our family and friends were a bit skeptical (we didn't visit before the wedding), it turned out better than we could have hoped. We filled... more

Delightful place, delightful people, delectable breakfasts! How lucky can you get?! Our family gave us a surprise 60th anniversary gift of a week at the Inn--in the Governor's suite--and it was Super-Great!. Mark and Linda made us feel like we were long-lost family come to visit. They are cool, fun, and full of information about the area, with tips on... more

I am surprised by the negative review recently posted by "Englishman". My husband & I , traveling with another couple, stayed with Linda in June. Yes, it's run very casually -- you are meant to treat it as home -- I think that it has a genuine Alaskan "no pretensions" come-through-the-backdoor type of hospitality. You help yourself to tea in... more

After reading the rave reviews we were somewhat disappointed with Alaska's Capital Inn. Our first problem was getting in as a note indicated that the doorbell wasn't working but with no further help as to how to summon attention. The building has been well restored but our room was fairly ordinary with only one bedside table and a light precariously... more

My wife and I spent one of the nights of our honeymoon here. It was our favorite night of the whole trip! The room was beautiful, as was the Inn itself. It is as comfortable as walking into your own house except you are in a turn-of-the-century gold rush mansion with luxurious rooms. It was very intimate and relaxing. The... more

Could not stay in a better place, excellent folks, attentive to the needs of those staying there, beautiful place, unbelievable and so elegant. Mark and Linda provide such a wonderful place, relaxing, comfortable, great food, most helpful in planning, snacks out of this world, anything is available that you need or can think of. Friendly, you become part of the... more
