I have been reading trip advisor reviews for years but have never bothered to write any until now. My husband & I just returned from a 3 week (30th wedding anniversary) trip to Alaska and there are two reasons primarily that I am finally writing reviews. Alaska's Capital Inn in Juneau and Mary Shield's "Tails of the Trail" tour outside... More

We booked a trip out of Juneau on a 120 foot yacht and were overnighting for 2 nights prior and 1 night after finishing out trip. The booking company, Expedition Brokers were great and they booked both the yacht and the hotel. Prior to our arrival, I decided to check Trip Advisor and found that the hotel had a lot... More

My husband and I stayed at the Capital Inn for two nights and it was one of the most warm, welcoming places we've stayed in. I wished we were able to stay longer! We were met by Duffy, the resident Scottish Terrier, whose job is to wag his tail at everyone, and Linda, one of the two innkeepers, who greeted... More

I thought that my stay at Capital Inn was very nice! The house is beautiful, and they have the cutest little dog! Even though I only stayed at the Capital Inn for one night, I still had a great experience! The Capital Inn makes you feel at home! Linda picked us up at the dock with her personal truck.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were here twice. Once for 3 night and a second time for two. The first time we had a smaller room downstairs called Klondas Cache. It was lovely with a great bed and nice bathroom. Somewhat small but fine and very comfortable and cute. The second time we stayed in Lelas Suite which... More

I read the last 5 reviews and agree whole heartedly with each of them. My husband and I stayed at this lovely B&B July 12 & 13- we absolutely loved the decorating and finishes, the kitchen is so unique with its fancy looking wood burning stove. All of the mission/craftsman furniture was so comfortable. The room and bathroom exceptionally clean... More

Spent two nights here after great Un-Cruise adventure. Mark and Linda are warm, interesting and inviting hosts. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Our room overlooked the Inn's lovely garden. The public rooms are warm and inviting. They serve up a wonderful, communal breakfast. Our hosts were very accommodating to special food requests from the guest. Their dog, Duffy, is... More

This is one of the nicest B&B we have stayed in. The hundred year house was renovated beautifully and the rooms were appointed in arts and crafts style period. The breakfast was delicious and nutritious, always offering choices and finishing with dessert. Linda and Mark were gracious hosts helping to answer questions about hikes, shops or anything that was asked.... More

Located in the more interesting part of Juneau, away from the cruise ships, Mark and Linda are incredibly hospitable at their Capital Inn. They provide a bountiful and tasty breakfast, nice rooms and are interested hosts and interesting themselves all day long. A final classy test was provided when Linda prepared bag lunches because our flight left way early in... More

Our accommodations were excellent! The owners were warm, friendly and willing to answer questions and share their knowledge and ideas. We booked several day trips or events right through the Inn, which was very convenient. The historic home was nicely decorated and full of unique discoveries too look at, books to borrow (both on local interest and beyond), and beautiful... More
