We came to Pybus not to fish but to see bears. Unfortunately, despite being on Admiralty island which has the highest concentration of brown bears on earth, we did not see any. We have been to a number of Alaska Lodges to see bears, including Silver Salmon several times, Katmai Wilderness Lodge once many years ago, and once to Hallo... More

My wife and I took this trip for my birthday. Neither one of us are experienced fishers. We wanted to experience deep sea fishing in Alaska though and this was wonderful. The staff is great. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Lodging was rustic but great. Not much to the cabin's, a bed, bath, small sitting area and a... More

We sent two groups of 10 to this lodge through work for several days of fishing. Every single person came back talking about what an amazing experience they had. These groups included a wide range of travelers and fishing experience. The accommodations were great and included everything we could need. It is located in an area with scenic views I... More

My friend and I are avid fisherman and met the representatives for Pybus Point Lodge at an Outdoor Adventure show at the Expo Center in Portland, OR. There were several other Alaska fishing trips offered by other vendors at the show but we chose Pybus Point Lodge over the others because it seemed a more rustic, less commercialized operation than... This year was the best trip so far. 2013 was the best salmon fishing I have seen in the last 5 years. Limits of coho everyday and halibut and rockfish were easy limits as well. Plenty of breath taking scenery and aquatic life.

Owners: Jody and Scott Jorgensen are two wonderful people that go out of their way to make certain that your experience is the best, they care about your experience and it shows. Food: Awesome food. Fresh dungenous crab served twice on our trip. Caught by guest. You can volunteer to fish for them if you like. The lunches were brown... More
