Overall I liked the place. The inn staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good too. The location is great and the cafe has yummy food and friendly staff. The staff really thinks of everything, if you forgot to bring it they'll probably have it available. However, our "deluxe" room only had one window that looked out... more

If you need a bellhop in a costume or a room service menu, don't stay here. If college students working summer jobs and happy to help will do, you'll be thrilled. Since I stayed at the Silverbow years ago en route to our honeymoon in Gustavus, things have changed. There's now a fun deli-style cafe & coffee shop adjacent, second... more

I've stayed at the Silverbow a number of times now, across the seasons. The hotel is a great deal for business travelers, especially if you are on government business (they wave the tax!) The wireless worked well, the breakfast is good - especially in the winter when you just eat at the restaurant, but the summer breakfast buffet was good... more

My wife and I were so excited for our trip to Juneau... we had no idea that one of the best parts of our trip was going to be staying at The Silverbow Inn! I honestly have not a single complaint, so here are some highlights from our stay at Silverbow: 1) The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous... they... more

I opted for the Silverbow Inn after a friend's recommendation. I was a the end of a week-long trip across Southeast Alaska. I had a lot of email catching up to do. I needed reliable internet, a good workspace and a certain measure of comfort -- yet I seeked a bit of local rustic charm as well. The Silverbow Inn... more

The Silverbow Inn is conveniently located near the waterfront, and perhaps even more enticing, a bakery/restaurant that also provides goodies to guests. Drag your luggage upstairs to clean, simply-furnished rooms. A request for a fan solved the stiffling heat problem - yes, it does get warm in Alaska! The creaks in the floor are hard to muffle in the old... more

Our entire wedding party stayed here and we had an awful experience. Our room was never cleaned, two of our guests got folliculitis from the hot tub (disgusting), the staff and management were AWFUL, and our rates were changed mid-stay. The rooms were absurdly small, and at one point I waited 30 minutes for a bagel which I had to... more

This hotel has funky, hippie-style, old-fashioned charm, but was spotlessly clean and had every standard amenity you could want. I had an accident (not at the hotel) and ended up with a broken bone in my ankle. The lack of elevator then was a bit of a problem, but the staff went out of their way to help me find... more

I very much enjoy my stays at the Silverbow. My work usually takes me to through SE AK once a month with usually a stop in Juneau. The help is always great and I look forward to seeing them. The rooms are moderate in size. I find them cozy and comfortable. Rooms are inviting with comfortable sheets and blankets, good... more
