The women manning the desk at Silverbow do everything to make your Juneau visit a success. Calling taxis, making lunches if the cafe hasn't gotten it ready in time, running a cordless phone up to your room, even carrying luggage up three flights, as there is no elevator. The inn is cozy, not luxurious, but the people will make it... More

this lovely little bohemian feel B&B was the best place we stayed in Alaska other than a wilderness lodge! close to downtown area but yet tucked in a quiet place. nicest staff ever! terrific attention to room needs and fantastic breakfast bar and late nite wine bar! the only down side is that it is not handicap accessible and at... There are not a lot of good places to stay in Juneau so the Silverbow offers a clean, unusual and friendly alternative. Most of the staff are particularly friendly but some don't get the fact that it is part of their job to be helpful when asked the most basic of questions. Our room was on the small side and... More

I can't think of a better place to stay. Walking distance to town and to many hiking trails. I walked up to the top of the tram from my Inn. I was fed better then in a expensive restaurant. The breakfast was complete and snacks 24/7 including homemade bread, carrot cake, popcorn you could make, humus, different cheeses, fresh fruit,... More

We loved staying here in June. We were walking distance to everything we needed - shopping, dining, the Convention Center. The staff were very helpful in giving advice (best pizza place is across the bay) and in calling a cab. We did not use a car during our visit - found cabs were inexpensive alternative. The Silverbow is also a... More

I've traveled the world and stayed in some wonderful B&B's. Silverbow Inn takes the cake. This is everything a B&B should be, and nothing it shouldn't. I can't quite wrap my head around how some people are reviewing this poorly unless they are competitors or some very confused and possibly deranged individuals. Even a 4 star rating here is ridiculous.... More

Highlight: when we had to catch the early morning ferry, they not only arranged the taxi for us, but also packed a terrific breakfast to take with us! From the start, the staff was very welcoming. The mattresses were VERY comfortable, and the room was quiet! We used the hot tub twice: had it to ourselves! Plenty of great food... More

My wife and I reserved our room months ahead of our visit, we reserved an economy room and the price came to over $650.00. When we first arrived we received our key and went to the room and opened the door and as soon as I looked out the window I saw another building within 8' of our room, we... More

Hi Dayton and Doree! Glad you made it home safely! It seems that along with our nice weather (Arg!) you also took home with you a very serious misconception. Do allow me to clarify: Juneau, Alaska does not have rats. Period. Unless you're talking about the winged kind- You may have heard a pigeon walking around on your roof, in... More

This is a rarity in Alaska--a charming, boutique style hotel. On my recent Alaska trip, in most towns, i either had to choose from a dated and charmless corporate or chain hotel, or a frilly b and b (I'm excluding the "sport lodges" that tend to be very expensive, focus on fishing, and are often in more remote locations). The... More

We had ordered lunch at the sister business Silverbow Bakery, but the place was packed due to some sort of sporting event on the big screen. We unknowingly wandered into the lodging area. There was a young female employee seated there eating her lunch. With a big smile and great attitude, she literally surrendered her chair so we could eat... More
