Thirty dollars gets you a rectangle on sand/dirt. About 10% if the sites have a fire pit or picnic table. The bathroom was a mess. An internet search led me to believe that the cost would be $20. The good news: the bathroom at the small boat harbor is only a few minutes walk and clean.

You couldn't ask for a better camping spot in Homer! My beachfront site was only 100ft from the shore. Showers($2) had plenty of hot water. Each slip has its own fire pit & picnic table. Safeway grocery in town had reasonable prices, hot deli & tons of premade food options. Make sure to visit Salty Dawg Saloon & stick a dollar to the wall! Izzy & Micah were super friendly & took great care of all my concerns. I'll def stay here again!

The views were great- we had full hookups and still had great views of the beach and water. I would camp here again. We stayed two nights and it went quick. The laundry was great and the showers were so nice! We had a charter boat one morning and were able to walk to the charter company within 10 minutes.

Room Tip:The full hook ups are worth the sacrifice of not having a waterfront spot.

We really enjoyed our stay here - mostly because we booked an oceanfront site. The views of Kachemak Bay easily made up for giving up hook-ups! The bathrooms and laundry facility were clean, and unlimited showers for $2 per person can't be beat while camping. Very friendly staff. Not sure I'd want to stay at one of the interior sites, but we really loved our spot!

This is a great place to camp on the Homer Spit. It has showers and laundry and plenty of shoreline. Lots of campers, but was nice and quiet. We were able to walk to shopping and took a great kayak tour. Tons of fun!

This campground is so close to everything and so you can walk to almost everything on the spit! You can also get to the beach very easily and the beach itself is not crowded at all, even when the campsite was completely sold out! Unfortunately, none of the beach front sites accommodate any medium or large sized campers, so our 27' camper was parked behind Land's End. We did not have a view at all, so that was a bummer. But the location made it worth it anyway! I wish the fire pits were staggered though. Because we were only like MAYBE 15 feet away from our neighbor's fire pit while sitting at our own, the smoke blew down from them (and all the campers their direction), and it came down in a straight line and was smothering each next camper. We sure felt the burn in our eyes and our lungs! But as previously stated, the location is key! The staff was also friendly and we will likely stay here again, but we will want a site on the other side, not behind land's end.…

This campground provides a terrific view, especially if you get a beachfront site. It has clean bathrooms and good showers ($2 per showers.) The location is within walking distance to the small boat harbor and most boardwalk shops. It is reasonably priced. The problem is that sites are close together. There were some unruly teenagers who were partying until 3 a.m. and who left an unattended campfire going on a very windy night. No campground host was around to address the situation.

The Homer Spit Campground had some of the cleanest facilities in any campground I’ve visited (which is quite a few). The showers are $2 to use but are very nice and maintained. We had a beach front camping site and enjoyed the beautiful scenery Homer had to offer from our tent. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. The sites are pretty close together but we had a small two person tent so that did not bother us. It is close to all of the other restaurants and businesses on the Spit which was very convenient for us since we didn’t have a car. The staff was very friendly and I had a great time. I would rent again!

I feel I owe these guys a new review, first of all the bad, the lady checking us in, no mask, fail. But i do see them out do more to clean up spaces and keep the place clean which is awesome. On a recent visit in May, we asked if we could leave our camper a little longer as we had trips planned that day, they let us stay till 3, and would not accept more money which shows great character. You, know when I think of it, their facilitied are pretty good, too, spotless in fact both the showers and toilets, far better than others ive visited.

We chose Homer Spit campground because it is right on the water, and walkable distance to some of the shops and restaurants on the spit. The location is great. Right on the water, beautiful mountains around. Saw a couple of otters in the water right off shore. There is laundry ($2 to wash, $2 to dry but took 2x). Spotty wifi. Bathrooms were clean enough. Didn't use the shower. The major issue I had, which I guess is a trade-off for the location and view, is that you are literally 20 feet from your neighbors on either side of you. So if you are sitting around your firepit or picnic table, your neighbors are between 15-20 feet away. So if you have not-so-quiet neighbors like we did, you can hear every single word, good and bad. I really wanted to like this place more, but the lack of any kind of privacy was an issue.…
