We stayed in Rm 24 on the ground floor of Seaside Lodge - it was very large with its own outdoor entrance. It was by the laundry room and the great room & kitchen, which was very convenient for us. The room was very comfortable and had a great view looking out to Kachemak Bay.

We stayed in a shipmate's room for one night. the website made sure we knew these were tiny rooms. They are like a double berth on a sailing vessel which was fine for us. Do not forget to discover the huge storage drawers under the berth so you need not fall over your luggage. The room was clean, excellent shower,... More

Unbelievable views from inside looking thru huge bay windows, a balcony and spiral staircase just perfect for wedding photos, a huge deck and beautiful lawn that is perched on the seaside cliffs overlooking the bay. Great place for a wedding! Thanks for a wonderful time.

We were there in the end of August 2014 and it was delightful! Shipquarters was tiny but had everything we needed - double bunk down and single bunk above and nice bathroom area - very clean. Nice common area to sit and drink coffee (provided) and great location from which to explore Homer. And the staff was very friendly. Would... More

Without any reservations, we pulled into the area and the local grocery store recommended the Driftwood Inn. Service was excellent, they showed us the room before we committed to it, the place is clean and homey. They allowed us to play cards in the kitchen area which we appreciated. The rooms where easily half of what we had paid anywhere... More

We only stayed here for a night but it made me realize how little space one actually needs to live. The Ship's Quarter is a 5 step room. Open door walk 3 steps (The room) turn righ, walk 2 steps (The bathroom) and you have reached the end. Don't be fooled by the size. You name the amenities and they... More

There is no Breakfast but we loved staying here for two nights. This is oceanfront property with a wonderful view at your doorstep. AJ's steakhouse was excellent and is just across the road. The Duncan Diner is also close by and puts on a great breakfast.

Driftwood is located above the beach and walking distance from Two Sister's Bakery, Fat Olives, Maura's and the Islands and Oceans visitor center. Nice variety of rooms from houses overlooking the bay to funky little rooms that take dogs. Helpful staff, good parking and easy to find.

We stayed here because it was recommended by the Moon travel guide. That book is now in the trash! Sweet people run it but the accommodations are the next step above a tent and below a trailer. The raw chipboard siding in the hallways was a homey touch in Homer. The heating system kept us up the better part of... More

Loved our experience at the Driftwood Inn. The service was great - the amenities just what we needed and dinner at the Steakhouse next door was divine (That's probably not the real name of the restaurant, so don't quote me on that). Two tips for visitors - drink BOTH your coffees in the room if you're a coffee nut, as... More
