Before I begin, let me start with staying that I have stayed here more than once and my first experience was wonderful. However the second stay was so unprofessional and unwelcoming that I will never return. We arrived at the Driftwood Inn to check in to an alternate location. A elderly female staff drove us to the alternate property and... More

I did not initially respond to this review because I was stunned by its nature. We are a small family business and we are passionate about hospitality, clean rooms and friendly atmosphere. We believe deeply in compassion and kindness. We take great pride in treating everyone like they are our mother, father, sister or brother…we welcome each guest like family.... More

Clean, cozy, comfy bed, friendly, perfect location and a great value...We loved Driftwood Inn for a funky Homer visit. It was winter, so very few guests were there. So, in the busy months, it might be a little noisy ( the walls are a little thin). I could hear my neighbor cough and chat on the phone occasionally. But that's... More

The Driftwood is probably not for those who need all the latest fixtures and amenities, but it is a unique and cozy Alaskan inn where guests are greeted warmly and looked after. Some fixtures are a little worn, but everything is functional and clean. The rooms are small but well thought-out and the beds are comfortable. The location in Homer's... More

Just steps away from the cold and beautiful Bishop's beach, this inn is a rustic little place with a lot of character that is clean, quiet and covers all the basics. The proprietors do not hide that many of the rooms are quite small, but they have everything you need for a cozy night. There is NOTHING fancy about this... More

This was a drive around find and suited us perfectly...at first we had a tiny cabin and later upgraded to a big room across the street....there were many small details needed fixing but given the location and friendly staff who cares... One of the pluses also is a short walk down the street is Two Sisters Bakery....THIS is a must... More

We stayed in Rm 24 on the ground floor of Seaside Lodge - it was very large with its own outdoor entrance. It was by the laundry room and the great room & kitchen, which was very convenient for us. The room was very comfortable and had a great view looking out to Kachemak Bay.

We stayed in a shipmate's room for one night. the website made sure we knew these were tiny rooms. They are like a double berth on a sailing vessel which was fine for us. Do not forget to discover the huge storage drawers under the berth so you need not fall over your luggage. The room was clean, excellent shower,... More

Unbelievable views from inside looking thru huge bay windows, a balcony and spiral staircase just perfect for wedding photos, a huge deck and beautiful lawn that is perched on the seaside cliffs overlooking the bay. Great place for a wedding! Thanks for a wonderful time.

We were there in the end of August 2014 and it was delightful! Shipquarters was tiny but had everything we needed - double bunk down and single bunk above and nice bathroom area - very clean. Nice common area to sit and drink coffee (provided) and great location from which to explore Homer. And the staff was very friendly. Would... More

Without any reservations, we pulled into the area and the local grocery store recommended the Driftwood Inn. Service was excellent, they showed us the room before we committed to it, the place is clean and homey. They allowed us to play cards in the kitchen area which we appreciated. The rooms where easily half of what we had paid anywhere... More
