Budget friendly, historic inn, well maintained, comfortable and clean rooms. The staff is exceptional! We were escorted to our room by the owner! She was lovely. Granted, we did come in the off season. Stay here to have an experience. The views can't be beat!

Owned and operated by a husband and wife and their hired help, Driftwood Inn is the main Inn but they also own 2-3 more properties within walking distance on the same street. My Dad and I went on a Daddy-Daughter trip (I'm college age) and the Seaside was where we stayed. Beautiful house with plenty of rooms, a nice living... More

After noticing one individuals extremely negative experience, I had to respond with my own multiple positive experiences. I started staying at this property in the spring of 2010. I was on business and my family was able to come along. Let me lay the groundwork for this tip. I had just purchased a new truck for my business. A few... More

Stayed here with friends on our Alaskan roadtrip. Our room was super clean and was perfect for us...small, but had 3 beds, a private bathroom, and a wonderful view of Kachemak Bay. Our room also had a Keurig coffee maker and free Wi-Fi. The front desk staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The lobby area feels like someone's cozy... More

Great location, great service. very home like atmosphere. stayed two nights, went fishing, beach combing, sightseeing and shopping at galleries in town. two restaurants in walking distance from the motel and both are very good. covered porch on the back side of themotel is a plus. gas grill and heat lamp make it cozy in the evening.

This my fellow adventurers, is a great place. The Villa has a lovely shared kitchen and laundry facilities, both a must in our book. Daily housekeeping, a kuerig in rooms add to waking early for fishing. We'd suggest asking at the docks for a respectable Captain for halibut fishing, as we had one "less than hospitable" reference from the Driftwood... More

Spent two nights there in early March-15. Amazing winter storms and big waves!!!! We sat out on the covered porch and watched the surfers ride some nice waves! The next day was a blue bird day..calm seas and sunny skies. Spent 4 hours combing Bishop's Beach. Its nice stepping out your front door for a two minute walk to the... More

We stayed here in the RV park. First of all, our camper back up to the beach area. Such a gorgeous view. It is with in walking distance to many great places to eat. Also, loved walking down to Bishop Beach. We stayed here during the winter and dry camped in our RV.There is a very clean shower room. Also,... More

We live in Homer and wanted to get married looking over Kachemak Bay, one of the most beautiful areas in Alaska. All our family lives in other areas of the country and we wanted them to be able to stay together and celebrate with us. We rented both the lodges at the Driftwood Inn and were able to have the... Before I begin, let me start with staying that I have stayed here more than once and my first experience was wonderful. However the second stay was so unprofessional and unwelcoming that I will never return. We arrived at the Driftwood Inn to check in to an alternate location. A elderly female staff drove us to the alternate property and... More

I did not initially respond to this review because I was stunned by its nature. We are a small family business and we are passionate about hospitality, clean rooms and friendly atmosphere. We believe deeply in compassion and kindness. We take great pride in treating everyone like they are our mother, father, sister or brother…we welcome each guest like family.... More
